Psychologist | Ascension St. Mary's Mental Health Rhinelander | Full Time Days | 36 Hours Weekly | Hours are generally 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.
Ascension St. Mary's Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility offering expert healthcare services to people in Rhinelander and nearby communities.Founded in 1893 by the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother, Ascension St. Mary's Hospital provides primary and specialty healthcare services to the counties of Oneida, Vilas, Forest, and Lincoln. Our $66 million facility provides a range of healthcare options including surgery, women's health services and cancer care. All of our treatment options are based on our patient's unique needs, with care plans developed by experienced specialists. Our hospital shares a campus with a 55-physician clinic, and our Emergency Department provides 24-hour care for serious conditions.

What You Will Do
As an Associate with Ascension St. Mary's Hospital, you will have the opportunity to provide therapeutic psychological counseling.
Assesses a patient's psychological status and provides appropriate interventions and treatments.
Collaborates with nursing and ancillary service to provide appropriate psychological therapy for patient. Refers patients to other disciplines for consult and evaluations as indicated.
Provides psychological expertise and education to multidisciplinary team. Acts as resource to other disciplines.
Communicates complex/sensitive information to patients and medical team.
Administers and interprets psychological tests used for diagnosing mental and personality disorders and differentiating between organic and functional cases of behavior disorders.
What You Will Need
Psychologist credentialed from the Wisconsin Psychology Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) required
