A newly-created Psychiatrist consultant position is anticipated to become available with Liberty Healthcare. This position will be responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients of a four-bed community crisis home in Visalia, CA.
Clients of this home will have intellectual and developmental disabilities, may be dually-diagnosed with mental illness or substance abuse issues, may currently or historically face forensic complications, and will primarily be transitioning to community placement from a developmental center, psychiatric hospital or acute crisis facility.
This program will leverage Liberty Healthcare's core competencies and unwavering commitment to provide high quality supportive services to people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Liberty Healthcare's Psychiatrist consultant will provide psychiatric services to program clients on an as-needed basis, four to eight hours weekly. Ideally services would be provided to program clients in-person, however telepsychiatry will likely be an option. Specific responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments
Providing psychiatric treatment
Providing consultation and training to program staff, clients, families and various stakeholders
Serving as a contributing member of multi-disciplinary treatment teams
Documenting services and preparing reports
As Psychiatrist consultant and with Liberty Healthcare, you can expect a competitive hourly compensation rate and professional liability insurance covering your services provided to Liberty's clients.
Well-qualified candidates will hold an active California medical license and be Board Certified in Psychiatry. Experience providing psychiatric assessment and treatment of people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness is required.
