What we are looking for:

Psychiatrist that is LICENSED in Arkansas for Medical Director type roles for our Hospital Psych Units. This work will be done primarily via
Telehealth Psychiatrist

Job Responsibilities:

Via Telehealth, helps patients by evaluating medical and psychosocial conditions; developing and implementing treatment plans, including prescription of psychotropic medications; monitoring and evaluating treatment results.

What Youll Do

  • You will be acting as the Medical Director of Psychiatry for a hospital psych unit and responsible for the direction and oversight of psychiatric evaluations, medications, and medical management, as well as coordination with the treatment team
  • Video (ZOOM) conference with patients, who have non-emergency medical needs, from your remote, secure location once a week
  • Interdisciplinary Team Rounding (IDT) via ZOOM
  • Evaluate and complete notes via EMR system in a timely manner
  • On call to answer questions from the treatment team when needed.
  • Collaboration with NP's.

What You'll Need/Your Qualifications

  • Have an active license for the states which you are applying
  • Board Certified
  • Clean NPDB
  • Updated CAQH preferred
  • Multi state licensed preferred
  • Minimal computer navigation skills Navigate EMR system- KAREO
  • Friendly and compassionate disposition


  • Weekdays (4-6 hours a week)
  • Total between 16-24 hours/month

  • Between $3K-$5K/month depending on the Average Daily Census(ADC)

This person has the authority, responsibility and accountability for development and facilitation of all clinical aspects of the UAMS Workplace Violence Prevention Program. This position will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant clinical policies and practices are consistent with requirements of all regulatory bodies, industry best practices and at a minimum include The Joint Commission's seven steps to addressing workplace violence which are as follows. Clearly define workplace violence, and put violence and abuse reporting systems into place Capture and properly track reports of workplace violence from various sources Provide follow-up and support to workplace violence victims. Review each instance of workplace violence, and determine what factors contributed to it Develop quality improvement initiatives to prevent workplace violence Train all staff in de-escalation, self-defense, and emergency code response Evaluate workplace violence reduction initiatives About the Nursing Service Line: The Nursing Service Line has over 1700 direct care nurses with 270 plus nurses in leadership roles and around 135 APRNs who work in Arkansas' only academic medical center, where learning and growing professionally is part of the mission.
