Job Duties, including but not limited to:

  • Provide any and all general psychiatric services for all age groups. This includes but is not limited to routine and emergency intakes, evaluations, and the provision of a wide -array of inpatient and outpatient treatment services.
    Examines, evaluates, diagnoses, and treats psychiatric disorders.

  • Perform physical and neurological evaluation pertinent to the assessment and diagnosis of psychiatric disorder, and requests appropriate laboratory, EKG, imaging, and psychological evaluations.

  • Provide routine and emergency intakes and extended evaluations for a variety of emotional, psychological, and behavioral disorders as described in DSM IV and psychiatry literature.

  • Know and employ a variety of treatment modalities, including pharmacotherapy; individual and group play therapy; individual, family, and group psychotherapy; behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy; and parental guidance

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Completion of the following:

-Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited graduate school of Medicine.

  • Completed a psychiatric residency and fellowship training program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Experience:

  • Must have two (2) years of current clinical experience following completion of residency and fellowship training prior to commencement of services under this contract.

Security:

-National Background Investigation

  • Must be a US citizen

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work site

License/Certification and Training:

  • Current State License to practice as a Psychiatrist in any US state, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
    -(M.D. or D.O.) shall be board certified in Psychiatry. Allopathic or osteopathic physicians utilized by the contractor to fulfill the terms of this contract shall meet the requirements of the American Medical Board of Medical Specialties. Board certification shall be recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) from the American Heart Association

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
