The Eliot Center in Concord is seeking a part time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide medication management services to children and adolescent clients. Our multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, social workers, mental health counselors and other professionals administer a full range of clinical and support services, resulting in a comprehensive collaborative approach to treatment.
Responsibilities:
Provide medication evaluation, prescription services, and monitoring and administration of psychopharmacologic agents and their side effects to clients and family.
Provide psychopharmacology consultation services to program staff regarding issues of medication and differential assessment of physical versus mental health
Develop and implement goal-oriented treatment plans in accordance with Utilization Review standards, sound clinical practice, and in collaboration with the client and clinician
Requirements:
Holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited university/college and is currently licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing to practice as a licensed Nurse Practitioner, is registered to practice as an Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Board of Nursing Specialties and Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMN, NP-BC) by the American Nurses Association. Maintains a valid registration(s) to issue written oral prescriptions or medication orders for controlled substances from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration. Maintains current malpractice/liability insurance. Experience in acute psychiatric care required.
Schedule: 20 hours per week
