OhioGuidestone is seeking a qualified Psychiatrist Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic clinical team! The primary responsibilities of the Psychiatrist Mental Health Nurse Practitioner include providing psychiatric assessment, evaluation, and services for clients of OhioGuidestone on a regular basis. The successful candidate will have a commitment to excellence in patient care and be interested in working in varied settings with a diverse population.

Essential Functions:

  • Make Psychiatric assessment and evaluation of clients both face to face and through telemedicine

  • Prescribe medication in an effort to reduce mental health symptoms when needed

  • Review and approve individualized service plans and other needed assessment forms

  • Complete requested paperwork such as SSI forms, school forms, etc. in a timely fashion

  • Provide emergency psychiatric services, including emergency coverage as needed 24 hours a day on call

  • Consult with individual program directors and staff on clients, programs and services at the

various sites

  • Collaborate with the Agency Pediatrician to provide consistent quality care

Performance/Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed at various locations throughout OhioGuidestone

  • English reading and writing skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, organizational and supervisory skills

  • Computer skills a must

  • Interacts verbally with clients, families, co-workers, and representatives from outside agencies

  • Attention to detail and confidentiality

  • Maintain 65% productivity

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified required

  • Masters in Nursing with prescriptive authority required

  • Three years of experience is a plus

  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, and safe driving record

The Cuyahoga County program is seeking passionate and excited individuals to provide creative interventions in PLAY, ART, and MUSIC to support the development and growth of the children and families we serve in a community-based setting. Community Mental Health Workers provide case management and qualified mental health services to OhioGuidestone clients needing behavioral interventions and guidance. We are currently seeking case managers for Early Childhood Mental Health programming. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in providing individual and family support, skills, advocacy, and crisis management in a home-based setting. OhioGuidestone workers have excellent communication skills and establish relationships, collaborating with the treatment team and community providers. Essential Functions: * Develop and maintain a service relationship with youth and family * Consult with an ODMH Mental Health Assessment, develops a service/treatment plan * Provides Ohio Department of Mental Health Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment Service (CPST) * Provides parents with information on disciplining, behavior management, household management and communication and relationship enhancement when needed; teaches youth social skills * Provides crisis intervention and mediation as necessary * Full-time employees maintain a productivity of 52% * Coordinates, makes referrals, or arranges for appropriate community resources when needed, acts as an advocate if necessary * Teaches family how to utilize the systems * Ensures that children are in the proper educational setting * Maintains ongoing contacts (phone, meetings, conferences) with other professionals involved, including collateral contacts with community resources/services * Attends all court hearings * Organization and maintenance of documentation of written client information and case notes * Record keeping and copying of necessary information, dissemination to appropriate individuals within the agency and any outside agencies based on departmental requirements * Participates in staff training, supervisory staff meetings & program consultation * Coordinate and provide service and support to their assigned clients and families or care givers in the home and school environment * Provide school personnel and parents with information on disciplining, behavior management, household management, communication and relationship enhancement * Consult with school personnel and participate in team meetings as necessary * Meet with school personnel to establish parameters of school based mental health services and meet with school personnel on an as needed basis or as requested throughout the school year * Inform appropriate school personnel of clients being served maintaining confidentiality * Educate school personnel on various mental health conditions/diagnoses and assist with effective classroom intervention/strategies * Maintains regular and reliable attendance Performance/Physical Requirements: * Work is performed in the homes of clients and several community agencies. This involves extensive driving. * English reading and writing skills required * Interacts verbally with coworkers, representatives from outside agencies, and families * Attention to detail and confidentiality required * Works flexible hours * Requires typing and computer competency, including Windows applications for moderate levels of typing case notes and other paperwork Qualifications: * Associate's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field is required * Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, preferred * Must have a valid Ohio Drivers License, proof of valid Auto Insurance, and a safe driving record At OhioGuidestone we care about the health and safety of our employees.
