Deliverables/Principal Results Expected:

  • Include doing psychiatric evaluations and follow ups, reviewing labs, monitoring blood levels, medication management, preparing discharges (physician orders, scripts).
  • Provides support and resources to the clinical staff as needed.
  • Coordination with clinical staff and the primary care physician when appropriate.
  • Ensuring clients are prescribed ample medications at discharge.
  • Responsibility to coordinate and complete the peer review process.
  • Coordination with the collaborating psychiatrist for medication and treatment of the client.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education, Experience:

CRNP - Minimum of 2 years experience in Psychiatric Medicine. Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques. Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, Office of Mental Health, DDAP) strong background in Psychiatric or D&A and Co-Occurring Disorders, knowledge of HIPPA laws, state licensing regulations, trainings as required. Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

VIEW JOBS 5/1/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-07-30T00:00 Pennsylvania Hospital is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our provider team. As a provider in the CRC you will provide direct patient care services and perform medical acts as a Nurse Practitioner in collaboration with a collaborating physician to patients requiring psychiatric evaluation and management in the outpatient emergency setting as well as on the inpatient side in the hospital. The Nurse Practitioner performs physical and mental health exams, collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations, prescribes appropriate interventions and medications, and provides direct patient care services. The PMHNP works with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care outcomes for this select group of patients and contributes to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, and provides leadership in the organization. The CRNP will report directly to the Director of Advanced Practice. Oversight for the CRNP's clinical practice will be provided by the Collaborating Physician. In addition, the CRNP will be accountable to the department for clinical outcomes, clinical productivity and management of daily functional job assignments. Department Leadership will facilitate attendance at required clinical training and provide oversight of provision of care in the clinic to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and applicable laws.
