Circle Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the growing clinical team in our Emergency Department Behavioral Health Unit. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about providing exemplary care, restoring hope, and inspiring our patients and their families to live healthier, fuller lives.

Primary responsibilities will include psychiatric assessment and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults with a broad spectrum of mental health challenges. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master#s or Doctoral degree from an accredited nursing program.

Licensed in the Commonwealth of MA as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PSMH-BC) or licensure as a Physician Assistant Current MSCR and DEA registrations, or eligibility for them at time of hire Unrestricted eligible for credentialing and privileging with Medicare and other third party pay sources Ability to treat patients of various ages and clinical presentations, including pediatric and geriatric populations Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various delicate, formal, or urgent situations.

Experience and skill working as part of a collaborative team Acceptable criminal background check. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Three or more years of experience in the outpatient behavioral health setting High level proficiency with electronic medical record and e-prescribing workflows.

Full time candidates are preferred, but part time arrangements may be negotiable. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Performs a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that includes evaluation of mental status, current and past history of violence, suicidal or self-harm behavior, substance use, level of functioning, health behaviors, trauma, sexual behaviors, and social and developmental history. # Develops a treatment plan for mental health problems and psychiatric disorders based on biopsychosocial theories, evidence-based standards of care, and practice guidelines.

Makes appropriate referrals to other health care professionals and community resources for individuals and families. Ensures patient safety through the appropriate prescription and management of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. # Identifies, measures, and monitors clinical and related behavioral outcomes to determine the effectiveness and appropriateness of the plan of care. # Manages psychiatric emergencies by determining the level of risk and initiating and coordinating effective emergency care. # Evaluates potential abuse, neglect, and risk of danger to self and others, such as suicide, homicide, and other self-injurious behaviors, and assist patients and families in security the least restrictive environment for ensuring safety Orders and interprets findings of relevant diagnostic and laboratory tests.

Summary: We are seeking a psychiatric The Nurse Practitioner! You will provide diagnostic medication assessments and ongoing medication management services to individuals with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities in an outpatient setting. You will also be part of a dedicated team of professionals who work to make a difference. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Complete diagnostic intakes, treatment plans and notes, goals and objectives. * Prescribe medication under the supervision of the Medical Director/Psychiatrist. * Assess and review medication regimen with patient, guardian(s), team members and other care providers/advocates. * Provide medication monitoring for referral to MD for follow up and consultation. * Provide medical assistance and assessment on a consultative and emergency basis. * Process clinical inquiries, i.e. prescription renewals, laboratory requests. * Provide individual and family case consultation. * Maintain client records according to regulatory standards. * Attend and participate in assigned case conferences, treatment planning meetings and utilization review. * Attend scheduled clinical team meetings. * Provide in-service trainings as needed. * Comply with all applicable nursing protocols, regulations and licensing standards. * On-call responsibilities as needed. * Facilitate referrals to other agencies/vendors when appropriate. Required Education/Experience: * Currently registered by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing * Achieved a master's degree in nursing from an accredited National League of Nursing graduate school * Boast two years of full-time supervised clinical experience in a multi-disciplinary mental health setting (can include practicum time!) * Specialty, experience or interest in working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities * You have a Federal DEA number and a MA prescriber registration number for prescribing privileges.
