This is a Salaried Non-Exempt position.

Each day, temperature screens are performed for each employee and visitor before entering the facility. Face coverings are provided and required over the mouth and nose at all times when inside the facility, and enhanced cleaning and sanitation is regularly performed.

It is a job expectation that all new employees are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Those who have, at minimum, the first of a two-dose vaccine in advance of their first date of employment will be required to receive the second dose within the manufacturers recommend timeframe and submit proof of their final vaccination dose once obtained. The position is accountable for maintaining the Process Safety Management program and the Risk Management Program of the facility. These programs will be maintained as required by federal, state and local law. Additionally, the position will provide training programs to the refrigeration department staff, and perhaps others, on primarily maintenance issues including Mechanical integrity, and will also need to understand interpretations of construction and safety codes as related to operating an ammonia system in a safe and efficient manner. will also work with the safety department to help audit the contractor safety evaluations as required by 29CFR 1910.119.

Responsibility

Maintain a compliant PSM & RMP program at the facility

Participate in ammonia system operations as necessary

Develop, or assist in developing, organize, schedule and conduct training programs for the refrigeration system, haz mat team, and confined space entry and rescue team. Develop and review the SOP's for the refrigeration system, ensure that all P&ID's are up to date. Review all PM's for mechanical Integrity compliance, ensure that all piping is labeled and valve numbers are in place and accurate.

Maintain all PSM documentation and training records that pertain to the PSM & RMP program.

Organize, schedule and conduct PSM meetings, compile and maintain PSM action item logs, assist in completing items on the action item log.

Inspect and maintain the Haz Mat equipment in accordance with 29CFR 1910.119

Set up training with the local fire departments, and the LEPC to include haz mat drills and tabletop exercises.

Participate in facility's Environmental Sustainability program

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of OSHA 1910.119 PSM Standard

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, some knowledge of SAP software helpful

  • Knowledge of basic Standard Operating Procedures

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Ability to work fractions, ratios and percentages

  • Ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently through standard procedures

  • Ability to work independently and implement proper procedures as required

  • Ability to withstand routine exposure to cold temperatures

Face coverings are provided and required over the mouth and nose at all times when inside the facility, and enhanced cleaning and sanitation is regularly performed.</p><p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><p>Ensures that safety is a condition and is responsible for compliance and enforcement of all safety directives.</p><p>Demonstrate hands on training techniques for new hires during the onboarding period (45-60 days) and make recommendations to the Onboarding Supervisor about individual training needs, concerns, and special circumstances. Onboarding Coordinators spend their time on the production floor with the new hires.</p><p>Administer, track, and evaluate the Onboarding Training Program in accordance and compliance with the program guidelines.</p><p>Collaborate with Human Resources and Operations to ensure new hires have proper training for successful onboarding.</p><p>Develop and promote positive working relationships between new hires, peers, and leaders.</p><p>Participate in Human Resources and company committees.</p><p>All other duties as assigned.</p><p>SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:</p><p>Previous training experience.</p><p>Must be able to effectively communicate with others, Bilingual is a plus. Must be able to work in hot/cold areas, stand for long periods of time, and know how to perform all jobs in the area. Successful candidates spend their time on the production floor.</p><p>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</p><p>Professional communication and demeanor.</p><p>Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner to employees.</p><p>Excellent presentation skills and ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork with others.</p><p>Able to work independently.</p><p>Must be willing to work in a plant/industrial environment.</p><p>EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High School Diploma/GED</p><p>EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled</p><br> Pilgrim's Russellville AL
