PSI - CLINICAL MANAGER - FULL TIME

OAKLAWN HOSPITAL

MARSHALL, MICHIGAN

Hours: Currently Pharmacy is 24/7/365. Schedule will include the rotation of nights, weekends and holidays with other rotating pharmacists. On call is not currently required.

As a Clinical Manager, you will utilize your clinical knowledge and lead a clinical team in a progressive healthcare environment to strengthen and expand pharmacy programs. You will develop drug policy to support optimal pharmaceutical care; Assess, develop, coordinate, implement and maintain clinical pharmacy programs and services; Develop and implement an Annual Clinical Plan with Director of Pharmacy and the Regional Vice President of Clinical Services; Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of drug policy which promotes optimal, cost-effective pharmaceutical care for all patients; Contribute to development and maintenance of clinically relevant tools to support clinical programs and aid the Director of Pharmacy in maintaining regulatory compliance. This is a newly added position to the department and will evolve from a combination of staffing and clinical pharmacist duties to a more focused and defined Clinical Management Role. This position will allow require a strong pharmacy clinician and will provide opportunities to make a huge impact in the development and expansion of the Pharmacy department.

About the Facility: Oaklawn Hospital founded more than eight decades ago is a highly regarded independently owned regional health care organization, licensed for 77 acute care beds, offers over 35 specialties and operates a 17-bed inpatient psychiatric unit. Oaklawn Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital, with a main campus residing on the same site as the original hospital, providing facilities, equipment and technology that are usually only found at larger health systems. Oaklawn has a reputation for advancing medicine and providing compassionate, personal care to Calhoun County and parts of Branch and Eaton counties with a medical staff of more than 150 providers representing over 35 specialties. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to Pharmacy Systems, Inc. (PSI). This position is an employee of PSI.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharm.D. or RPh degree and or Four years of pharmacy practice experience

  • Current Pharmacist license in good standing in Michigan

  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program preferred

  • Experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital setting preferred

  • BCPS preferred

  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions and respond to client concerns

  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets and pharmacy information systems

  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements:

  • PPD/TB Skin Test- documentation of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months. Skin test provided on-site, if needed.

  • Documentation of Influenza vaccine, vaccine provided on-site if needed

  • Facility and pharmacy orientation to be completed upon start of employment.

  • Valid Michigan pharmacist license in good standing

  • Eligible for Medication Therapy Services (MTS) certificate is a plus.

JOB SUMMARY The Assistant Food Production Manager reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for production of Cresco Labs medically infused edible products. Manage a team of chefs to carry out day-to-day tasks including prepping, cleaning, cooking, and operating basic production machinery. Produce edibles in accordance with the State and standards set by Cresco Labs. CORE JOB DUTIES Production * Work with Packaging Manager to set weekly and monthly production schedules. * Maintains inventory levels and production standards. * Directly supervise kitchen and packaging agents responsible for operational activities; providing motivation, training and development of production staff. * Actively participate in prevention and correction of quality-related errors. Check and enforce personnel hygiene and safety. * Understand and execute batch calculations per Cresco Edibles manufacturing formulas. * Maintain production logs, lab test results and QC retain samples. Vendor Coordination / Ordering * Organize and inventory ingredients and other kitchen production supplies at the facility. * Place ingredient orders with approved vendors, log and date each shipment. Facility Cleaning * Demonstrate an understanding of state and county health department requirements for Kitchen Production Facilities. – Handle preparation for periodic inspections. * Maintain a clean and safe production facility. * Ensure personal hygiene is acceptable under standards set by Cresco Labs before performing any production activities by washing hands, wearing a hair net, changing clothes, etc. * Complete the sanitation of production equipment and tools including workspace, production and packaging equipment, cookware and appliances. * State-required sanitation license must be up to date. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS * Experience in a field and/or operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures, preferable a regulated field producing products for human consumption. * Demonstrate a clear understanding of recipes, food production and kitchen sanitation. * Strong and effective task-management skills and ability to multi-task. * Attention to detail – ability to monitor basic kitchen production in processes, organize and maintain production logs and ingredient lot numbers. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment. * Experience in a production-heavy kitchen, kitchen management and chocolate/confection work a plus. • Ability to stand for at least 6 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds to torso level is necessary.
