The Training Supervisor position will act as a general resource and provide day to day assistance in the operations of provider participation, design and implementation of all Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP policies and procedures. This person will be responsible for supervising and directing the delivery of MHCP provider billing/training and coverage policies and procedures.
Supervise and provide leadership for the overall administrative operations across current MHCP programs
Direct and assist staff in quarterly workshops located throughout Minnesota and bordering states.
Provide orientation training to new staff along with training on the many different systems
Direct staff while operationalizing MHCP services objectives to achieve established goals by monitoring and reviewing the productivity of unit staff, provide advice and guidance on interpretations of team objectives, systems and procedures.
Direct and guide the planning and coordination of specialized trainings at different provider conferences or stakeholder meetings throughout the state.
Plan and develop operational activities to effectively and efficiently align resources with unit objectives and goals; setting priorities for the staff; ensuring that operational procedures are developed and revised.
Serve as, and represent Minnesota Health Care Programs at various internal and external stakeholder meetings, as well as department policy committee meetings in order to recommend appropriate action in the areas of project funding, stipulations and program administration related to health care related operations.
Supervisory experience or other professional leadership experience.
Three years of advanced professional experience working with Health Care Programs demonstrating the following:
Hands-on experience advising and qualifying health care providers on issues such as coverage policies, authorizations, rates, provider enrollment, managed care payment policies and claims processing.
Developing curriculum and conducting training for adult learners.
Leading large scale projects and presenting at multiple outstate locations.
Bachelor's degree in health care administration, business administration or human services or related field may substitute for 1 year of professional experience OR Master's degree in health care administration, business administration or human services or related field may substitute for 2 years of professional experience.
Monitor, interpret, apply, and assess the program, policy, operations, and budget implications of federal and state laws, rules and regulations.
Understand the Health Care Administration's forms, processes, and procedures associated with MHCP claims processing, the provider enrollment process and recipient eligibility criteria.
Thoroughly understand the Department of Human Services (DHS) organizational structure, policies, and operational procedures.
