Job Summary The Provider Onboarding Coordinator provides system coordination for day-to-day activity for implementing provider and/or practice onboarding, off boarding and moves for the Owensboro Health Medical Group. This position works collaboratively with physicians, practice managers and staff, hospital leadership, and Owensboro Health support departments to ensure successful onboarding, off boarding and/or moves for providers and office practices is completed timely and accurately. Establishes successful communication across a wide spectrum of audiences, lead change initiatives, have strong organizational skills and be able to function effectively with multiple priorities. Responsible for onboarding practices and providers from signature of the contract to thirty (30) days post start date. # Job Responsibilities Coordinate the onboarding process for new healthcare providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other allied health professionals. Serve as the primary point of contact for new providers throughout the onboarding process, addressing inquiries and providing timely updates. Collaborate with Human Resources, Credentialing, Compliance, and other relevant departments to facilitate the timely completion of all onboarding requirements. Develop and maintain detailed onboarding checklists and timelines to ensure all necessary tasks are completed efficiently. Coordinate orientation sessions and training programs for new providers to familiarize them with Owensboro Health#s policies, procedures, and culture. Assist new providers with obtaining necessary credentials, licenses, and certifications required for their respective roles. Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure new providers have access to necessary systems, equipment, and resources upon arrival. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to provider onboarding, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Evaluate and continuously improve the provider onboarding process based on feedback and best practices. Participate in meetings, committees, and projects related to provider onboarding and integration initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor#s degree or higher in Healthcare Administration required upon hire OR Bachelor#s degree or higher in Business Administration required upon hire OR Bachelor#s degree or higher in related field preferred A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. A minimum of 1 year relevant experience required Skills and Attributes Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks and maintaining records. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and credentialing processes preferred. Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
