Identify, research, develop, test, coordinate, support, approve and document system modifications. Develop problem analysis reports as needed. Maintain system security within the information management system. Develop new web-based applications using the web design guidelines and write business rules and administrative procedures. Perform as a liaison between the Provider Relations Department, Information Services and other business areas.

Compensation

$25.58 - $30.40

Non Exempt grade 13

The salary range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive salaries that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.

What you'll do

  • Maintain systematic knowledge of the Integrated Provider System (IPS) and any relative active provider contracting and/or provider demographic functional systems. In addition to IPS, support additional Professional Relations (PR) systems.

  • Promote the development of provider policies and administrative procedures so that a high degree of automation is maintained without jeopardizing data accuracy.

  • Provide research, direction and support network business practices for users of provider data systems utilized in Professional Relations.

  • Review and interpret vendor file requirement documentation to validate available data elements within the provider systems to ensure BCBSKS can accurately fulfill file requests relative to provider data needs.

  • Perform in depth testing of system problems, new products and system modifications. Provide approval of system corrections and modification put into production and notify system users.

  • Facilitate and utilize the appropriate Agile/Scrum, Kanban, Sprint or Waterfall process to manage and support the technical, operational & functional requirements of the business area and Information Services.

  • Maintain data integrity within the system with the application of data audit procedures.

  • Identify and compose project requests for enhancements to PR systems.

  • Maintain system documentation of all user-identified problems, modification and improvement requests and their resolutions.

  • Use PC up to 80% of the day. Minimal bending and stooping. Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

What you need

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Business Administration, Economics or Accounting preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience using the principles of system testing, how to thoroughly test a system in when changes occur to include setting up test cases, ensuring extreme values are tested in all cases and verifying the results both valid and invalid input.

Bonus if you have

  • Working knowledge of BCBSKS systems such as BluePrints, Rally, QA Complete, Serena Business Management (SBM).

  • Familiarity with Project Management Practices (PMP) and utilizing Agile/Scrum/Kanban Sprint or Waterfall processes is required.

  • Experience in quality control and/or auditing processes.

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems and make decisions related to provider network business rules, which may or may not be documented by established procedures
