Position Purpose: Perform health plan provider orientations and conduct ongoing educational outreach with a focus on improving quality and financial outcomes within the provider network. Act as liaison between providers and the health plan to enhance the business relationship.

Conduct initial provider orientations as well as ongoing educational outreach

Educate providers regarding policies and procedures related to referrals, claims submission, credentialing documentation, web site education, Electronic Health Records, Health Information Exchange, and Electronic Data Interface

Enhance account relationships by investigating, documenting and resolving provider matters and effectively handling and responding to account changes and correspondence.

Engage providers and educate them on Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives

Perform detailed HBR (Health Benefits Ratio) analyses, Health Information data Information Set (HEDIS) analyses, and create reports for provider Review provider performance by both quantitative metrics and qualitative factors

Create and communicate milestone documents, dashboards and success or improvement metrics

Act as a liaison between the provider and the health plan ensuring a coordinated effort in improving financial and quality performance

Provide information and status updates for providers regarding incentive agreements

Conduct site visits when required

Perform other contracting duties as requested, including but not limited to recommending changes to pricing subsystems, submitting changes to provider related database information and assisting in the completion of special projects

Ability to travel

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 2 years of combined managed healthcare and provider reimbursement experience.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Clinical or health information management (HIM) experience preferred. Claims processing and/or managed care experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications: Current state driver's license.

Position: Forensic Accountant GS 7/9/11/12/13 Locations: Opportunities Available Nationwide Working Hours: 8:15am – 5:00pm, but hours may vary Salary: Rates will be provided upon selection Duration: Full Time/Permanent Major Duties: * Conducting thorough forensic financial analysis of business and personal records and developing financial profiles to understand the financial "big picture" of an investigation. * Gathering evidence and preparing search warrants/affidavits associated with financial analysis. * Providing knowledge of accounting and financial practices, securities, banking laws and systems, conventional and non-conventional financial institutions and nonprofit businesses. Developing and/or assisting with developing new forensic accounting techniques applicable to various financial investigations. * Assessing the value of financial evidence; unraveling sophisticated techniques for moving funds and shielding illegal activity. Providing financial profiles of individuals and groups. * Utilizing various computer applications to review and interpret implications on a variety of financial transactions and other corporate, business and financial processes, associations and record-keeping systems. * Participating in interviews of subjects and witnesses in secure, non-confrontational settings. * Identifying and tracing funding sources and compiling findings and conclusions into reports. * Meeting with prosecuting attorneys to discuss strategies and other litigation support and testifying about facts or as expert witnesses in judicial proceedings. Education Requirement This position has a specific education requirement; all applicants must verify completion of this basic educational requirement by submitting a copy of their college transcripts by the closing date of the announcement. Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States. Applicants should: A)Possess a degree in accounting, or a degree in a related field (i.e. business administration, finance, or public administration) that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. OR B) Possess a combination of education and experience: At least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following: 1.24 semester hours in accounting or auditing courses of appropriate type and quality. This can include up to 6 hours of business law. 2.2A certificate as a Certified Public Accountant or a certified internal Auditor, obtained through written exam. OR C) Possess completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in accounting or auditing, at least 15 semester hours provided that (1) the applicant has successfully worked at the full-performance level in accounting, auditing, or a related field; (2) a panel of at least two higher level professional accountants or auditors has determined that the applicant has demonstrated good knowledge of accounting and related and underlying fields that equals in breadth, depth, currency, and level of advancement that is normally associated with successful completion of the 4 year course of study described in paragraph A; and (3) except for literal nonconformance to the requirement of 24 semester hours in accounting, the applicant's education, training, and experience fully meet the specified requirements. GS 12:SE is defined as follows: * Independently performed forensic examination of a variety of complex financial records and recordkeeping systems by utilizing accounting, auditing, and analytical, technical, and investigative skills. * Performed analyses of financial data, utilizing various database management systems and accounting/analytical software. * Assisted in producing detailed financial investigative reports and exhibits suitable for a court of law.
