Provider Credentialing Specialist

Crossroads Treatment Centers is one of the largest and fastest growing providers of outpatient Opioid Treatment Services. With nationally accredited outpatient centers across the country, our specialized treatment program has been helping people suffering from opioid addiction for over 10 years.

We are currently seeking a Provider Credential Specialist with Medicaid experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three-five years experience in credentialing of providers for Medicaid and commercial insurance as well as managed care Medicare a plus. This position will be supporting the Network Management Director.



  • Assist and resolve contractual denials with payors
  • Familiar with E/M & CPT Behavioral Health coding
  • Experience with facility and individual provider credentialing
  • Experience developing policies and procedures
  • Provider Relations experience
  • Assist with contractual denials with payors
  • Administrative duties as assigned
  • Highly organized, self-starter, and self-motivated professional
  • Experience in credentialing of providers for Medicaid and commercial insurance
  • Reviews existing departmental policies and procedures annually and works with management to make updates as needed
  • Complete and Assist provider credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed.
  • Maintains corporate provider contract files.
  • Perform outreach to providers and facilities via phone calls and fax/email correspondence.
  • Responsible for maintaining the good standing of all applicable licenses.

At present, we operate 32 licensed Opiate Treatment Programs and 44 Office Based Opioid Treatment centers (OBOTs) in multiple states.</p><p><br></p><p>We are seeking a Contract Compliance Specialist to join our team at the Corporate office! If you have excellent analytical skills, strong work ethic and a positive attitude, we want you to join our team!</p><p><br></p><p><i><strong>Position Summary: </strong></i>This position is responsible for ensuring that Crossroads is in compliance with Provider Contracts with third-party payors across all lines of business (Medicaid, Medicare, &amp; Commercial). This position is responsible for ensuring current policies and procedures adhere to existing regulations as well as to provide implementation strategies to bring us into compliance, as necessary.<br></p> <p><br></p><p>You will be responsible for coordinating responses for various audits from internal and external customers and payors. This position is responsible for responding to contract inquiries by conducting research, coordination across various departments for resolution / solution, and develop documentation and training materials as necessary. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul> <li>Cross functional expertise with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Research, analyze, and resolve provider contract inquiries and assist in resolving claim issues.</li> <li>Under the supervision of the Director, oversees and coordinates various payor inquiries such as Pre/Post Payment reviews, provider-focused monitoring, and complaint resolutions.</li> <li>Ensures compliance with provider contract requirements including but not limited to credentialing, enrollment, billing, and quality performance.</li> <li>Analyze payor contracts and/or provider manuals and implement work flow processes to ensure compliance.</li> <li>Verbal and written communications skills including interpersonal skills to work across the organization to resolve problems, responding to inquiries, compose procedure and training materials, and to discuss business and technical aspects with management.</li> <li>Ensure regulatory compliance of federal, state and commercial payer contracts in a multi-state environment. </li> </ul><ul> <li>Takes initiative to identify needs within the department bringing solutions (job aids, policy/procedure development and implementation, etc.) to enhance and improve systemic work flows.</li> <li>Actively participates in identifying and offering solutions to problems for the improvement of the position, department, or the company.</li> <li>Participates in developing or revising departmental operating procedures.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Experience Required:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>3 years experience working in a managed care/ health care environment.
