As a JARVIS Prototype Development Engineer, you will be part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers and specialists. You will collaborate with internal customers to take concepts from ideation, execute the manufacturing and create functioning prototypes and engineering demonstration units.
JARVIS Engineers are expected to operate with a rapid iterative development mindset and leverage their engineering and manufacturing experience to enhance the capabilities if the team.

Responsibilities will include:
Collaborate with stakeholders in designing systems by, developing concepts from ideation, executing thru manufacturing and integration, resulting in functional Engineering Development Units.
Manufacturing, programming, and machining prototypes over several iterations in collaboration with stakeholders
Hands-on contribution to manufacturing and development efforts as required
Implementing new capabilities to support critical schedules
Develop manufacturing work instructions to clearly define the manufacturability of a part.
Closely manage the fabrication, quality, post processing, and schedule of hardware throughout the entire fabrication process.
Perform engineering drawing review and provide final approval for manufacturing.
Define and support repair and rework activities.
Design tooling and fixturing for ease of manufacturing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering
8+ years in design any of the following systems: Environmental control and life support, Crew, Intravehicular (IVA), Extravehicular (EVA), Propulsion fluid systems, Thermal fluid systems, Test Stand design, Chemical/Process pilot plants, Reactor design, and similar projects
8+ years in direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience, including CNC programming and machining.
Proficiency with CAD CREO and Windchill
Demonstrated success in developing concepts thru ideation, executing fabrication and test; advancing concepts through TRLs.

Eager to jump in and manufacture as the need arises.
Consistent track record of manufacturing experience directly related to part machining.
Understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing including working knowledge of GD&T.
Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
Ability to develop processes compliant to industry quality systems such as AS9100.
Highly customer focused with strong verbal and written communication skills.
A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skills across large geographic distances.
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Experience in rapid iterative development
Must be physically able to:
Support manufacturing and fabrication floor activities.
Climb stairs and work in small areas.
Lift and carry 40 lbs.
Desired:
Experience in rapid development environment
Experience in an aerospace manufacturing facility preferred.
General proficiency with CFD, FEA and Controller programming
General proficiency with CAM, MasterCAM, NX
Tooling and fixture design experience.
Hands-on machining experience and/or CNC programming familiarity.
Broad experience in manufacturing: welding, assembly, integration, instrumentation, cleaning, non-destructive testing, leak testing, fabrication, machining, etc.
