PROTECTION & CONTROLS ENGINEER

Your expertise in developing protection and control schemes and performing power system studies will contribute to the success of our projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Work within a multi-discipline team to develop efficient and reliable electrical design packages for medium and high voltage substations.
• Develop protection and control schemes for power distribution networks to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the system
• Perform power system studies and analysis to identify potential issues and optimize system performance
• Configure and troubleshoot SCADA systems used for monitoring and controlling power distribution networks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and field personnel, to ensure successful implementation of protection and control schemes
• Provide technical support to field personnel during system installation, testing, and maintenance activities
• Stay updated with industry standards and best practices related to power system protection and control
• Adhere to project timelines and deliverables, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Protection & Controls engineering experience
• Experience in the power utility field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• PE license a plus
• Experience with high and medium voltage
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field

Hybrid work opportunities available in Albany, NY, Binghamton, NY, Rochester, NY, Augusta, ME or Orange, CT

Salary:

$72,000 - $157,000- commensurate with experience
