SUNY Orange is currently seeking a full-time PROSPERAR Coordinator of Learning Pathways.

PROSPERAR at SUNY Orange has provided our campus community the exciting opportunity to amplify and apply our Guided Pathways/SUNY Orange Experience (SOEX) frameworks with targeted strategies identified to increase the support and success of all students, particularly our growing Hispanic/Latinx/Chicanx student populations, through revamping student onboarding, advising, course scheduling, & curriculum.

The PROSPERAR Coordinator of Learning Pathways is responsible for representing the PROSPERAR Program and Center for Student Success (CSS) in a welcoming, positive, and professional manner. While primarily located on the Middletown campus, the PROSPERAR Coordinator of Learning Pathways will work collaboratively with the other CSS and PROSPERAR staff members, tutors, and coaches. This position will primarily report to the PROSPERAR Title V Program Director but will also collaborate with the Director of the Center for Student Success to provide direct support to the CSS tutors and students who use its services.

The Coordinator ensures students have access to CSS, PROSPERAR, and college-wide resources. Working in a team environment, the Coordinator will work to ensure that operations run efficiently and transparently while also taking initiative to develop and enhance processes and procedures to achieve program goals and PROSPERAR activity.

This position may require travel to the Middletown and Newburgh campuses and other sites, as needed.

Requirements:

Education Required: Associate's degree or higher.

Experience Required: Experience with the development of effective study skills and student

self-efficacy. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Google

Suites (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.), as well as experience with early intervention and/or student

success software; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organization skills;

demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects. Experience in report generation and the

collection and organization of data for reporting purposes.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:

• Bachelor's degree.

• Familiarity with best practices in tutoring and learning support.

• Experience with Starfish student success tool.

• Experience teaching or tutoring in secondary and/or higher education.

• Supervisory experience.

• Experience with educational technologies and software and their integration into traditional

instructional methods.

• Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with supervising personnel,

coworkers, all constituents and the public.

• Perform well under pressure, within time constraints, with a high degree of accuracy, diplomacy and

confidentiality.

• Ability to coordinate work flow while dealing with multiple projects, semester cycles and various

deadlines.

• Ability to present complex information and data in coherent fashion.

• Bilingual skills, Spanish.

Salary: $43,772-$57,999 per annum, commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, grant-funded, 12 month, Staff & Chair, Grade 30 position.
