Position Title: Prospect Research and Management Analyst
Department: Advancement Operations and Strategy
Reports To: Director of Advancement Operations and Strategy
Classification: Exempt FTE: 1.0 Salary: $50,000 - $56,000
Essential Job Duties:
Prospect Research
Divisional lead for knowledge and reporting on college's donor prospect pool. Verify wealth capacity and scope of relationship with the college in order to determine which constituents have assets and affinity to contribute at a major gift level.
Provide meaningful prospect research deliverables that are accurate, actionable and efficient. Examples include profiles summarizing key information on college donors and board members.
Serve as subject matter expert on a suite of search tools to accomplish the tasks above, including data mining software and public records search engines.
2.Relationship and Portfolio Management
Facilitate twice-yearly portfolio reviews with gift officers and Advancement leadership.
Provide compelling data to assess overall portfolio health, track gift officer activity, and measure progress toward performance metrics goals.
Strategize and collaborate with gift officers to support the development of optimized, high-capacity portfolios. Recalibrate portfolios as needed to maximize performance.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive prospect management policy.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date moves management coding within database of record.
Serve as subject matter expert on prospect management best practices, creating and distributing educational materials to staff on a regular basis.
3.Business Process Improvement, Project Management, and Implementation
Regularly review business processes for improvement opportunities and execute in collaboration with Development and AOS team.
Serve as project management and implementation lead for cross-divisional projects relevant to prospect research and management.
4.Supervision, mentoring, and collaboration
Hire, train and supervise a team of analytical support student workers.
Collaborate with Constituent Records and Research Specialist to execute prospect research and management tasks above.
5.Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community.
6.Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle.
7.Perform other duties as assigned
Work Schedule:
Term: Year-round
Shift: The standard 40-hour work schedule is Monday
Friday, 8:00 am
5:00 pm; flexible work arrangements can be proposed and are subject to approval by HR and relevant supervisors; occasional evening or weekend work as need required.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in a prospect research role or related research, data, project management, or fundraising-focused role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a prospect research role or related research, project management, data, or fundraising-focused role. Experience in utilizing CRM software and Google Workspace, including Sheets, Slides, and Looker Studio. Self-motivated with strong project management and interpersonal skills.
