As a Senior Manager and Full Spectrum Leader, you will be responsible for the LM Resident Office positioned at the Northrup Grumman facility in Magna, UT. Being a representative of the FBM prime weapons system integrator requires this individual to be responsible for working in close partnership with Northrup Grumman (FBM solid rocket motor manufacturer), LM Quality, and the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs to maintain the continued reliability and technical baseline of the FBM boost motor.

The candidate will also be expected to help shape the future of the program by facilitating continuous improvement in production operations, energetics physical security and safety, and factory utilization rates.

The LM resident office Senior Manager will provide leadership and talent continuity for LM engineers across three different manufacturing sites in Utah: Magna, Promontory, and Clearfield (Ogden) and requires occasional travel to a range of subcontractor facilities, Naval offices in Washington, DC, and other FBM sites. The senior manager must actively support and demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives.

This position reports to the LM Space Propulsion and Energetics Talent Director, and is assigned to the FBM Program Propulsion, Structures, Ordnance, & Controls Program Management Director.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of technical experience, with a minimum of 3 years in technical leadership.

  • Technical degree in an engineering related field (i.e. engineering, physics, chemistry and applied mathematics)

  • Ability to lead and manage a technical team with demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership capabilities.

  • Experience in failure review boards (FRB) and material review board (MRB).

  • Experience as a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or CPE Delegate

  • Ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced technical degree in an engineering related field (i.e. engineering, physics, chemistry and applied mathematics)

  • Demonstrate minimum of 3 years Full Spectrum Leadership experience including a commitment to the Full Spectrum attributes of shaping the future, building effective relationships, energizing the team, delivering results, and modeling personal excellence, integrity and accountability.

  • Experience on FBM programs preferable - but not required.

  • Experience with energetics (ordnance and/or solid propellants)

  • Experience with manufacturing and production environments

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Good negotiation and conflict management skills.

  • Active TS clearance

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework:

The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
