Propulsion Engineer - Distribution And Energy Storage System

Regent North Kingstown , RI 02852

Posted 2 weeks ago

REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers. With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.

We are backed by the world's best investors: the same investors who are behind SpaceX, Anduril, and Boom Supersonic, in addition to strategic investors like Lockheed Martin, Japan Airlines, and Hawaiian Airlines. We have over $8B in orders from some of the industry's largest operators and are hard at work getting our full-scale, human-carrying prototype on the water next year.

As a Propulsion Engineer - Distribution and Energy Storage System at REGENT, you will be obsessed with engineering first principals. Your primary objective will be to develop and execute test plans and procedures for our high voltage distribution and energy storage systems leading up to and including full vehicle integration. This role requires skills that can support all aspects of design, fabrication and assembly across disciplines such as mechanical, electrical and software engineering.

Prior experience with high power and high voltage systems (DC) is required. We are looking for candidates who fully understand how to effectively and safely test test both high voltage electrical systems and high powered rotating machinery.

This role will require working cross-functionally along side engineers and techs from a variety of backgrounds spanning aerospace, maritime and automotive.
