The position is preferably in Minneapolis, MN or Chicago, IL, but can be remote with the ability to travel to those locations as needed.
We're currently hiring for a Proposal Manager.
As a Proposal Manager, you will:
Develop, coordinate, and prepare responses to RFIs, RFPs, and custom proposals from potential customers.
Develop strong relationships with internal Subject Matter Experts and the sales team to determine overall response strategy.
Manage the proposal process as assigned by Growth leadership. Review and analyze requirements, develop and manage to a calendar, help guide strategy development, and act as the primary project manager.
In partnership with organizational SMEs and direction from the sales team, develop persuasive content that demonstrates to the client why they should select ICF Next.
Adapt answers to standard and non-standard questions to fit sales strategies and highlight our differentiators
Work closely with a presentation specialist to present the content in a compelling way.
Meet all deadlines for on-time quality delivery of RFI responses and proposals to customers
Provide proposal assistance, guidance, and advice to account teams managing their own RFP responses
Work with the knowledge management team to maintain proposal content database and proposal archive
Enforce approved style guidelines
Proactively engage in continuous improvement to hone the proposal development process
Perform other duties as assigned
As a Proposal Manager, you will have:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Liberal Arts, or English (or related)
5+ years of commercial proposal management experience
A willingness to learn and adopt a new proposal process
Strong persuasive writing, editing skills, and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead without authority
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
The desire to work in a dynamic, team-oriented business development environment
Strong time management skills to adhere to often tight deadlines
Advanced skills in PowerPoint
Ability to foster relationships with professionals at various levels within the company
Highly organized.
Experience with the Shipley method of proposal development or with managing federal proposals a plus
Membership in APMP a plus
Experience using Microsoft Teams and/or SharePoint a plus
