Proposal Architect

Key Role:

Work as a member of the Health IT leveraged proposal group, providing a range of proposal-related support and expertise, across dynamic and unique health markets with varying needs. Apply proposal expertise to interview SMEs, create draft-level content and concepts, while working with them to create uber anchor graphics that contain threads throughout each proposal section, and work to create annotated outlines for SMEs. Work across teams to provide front-end expertise on proposal structure, outline, page count, and messaging and tailor boilerplate to help with proposal responses across multiple contract vehicles. Introduce teams to an established firm storyboarding process and lead teams through this process, guiding both the reviewers and the writers from beginning to end. Maintain a centralized proposal and content repository and help to tag and categorize information in the repository. Administer storyboard and other proposal training, as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with proposals or project management in federal, state, or local government markets

  • Experience with large, multi-contractor proposal development teams

  • Experience with the proposal development process

  • Experience with Microsoft products, including Office365 and other proposal development tools

  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels and multiple customer environments, including C-Suite staff in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to leverage organizational, analytical, and management expertise

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of basic level and broad-spectrum IT concepts, including software development methodologies, operations and maintenance, and infrastructure operations and Cloud Computing preferred

  • Possession of excellent presentation skills

  • Possession of excellent oral or written communication skills

In this job, you'll support our overall sales and marketing efforts by taking on responsibilities including but not limited to: What You'll Do: * Leading, managing, writing and producing proposals, qualifications, award submittals and presentation materials; * Interviewing team members and drafting targeted content for proposals and qualifications; * Assisting with minor business development efforts; * Creating external and internal deliverables containing feature/benefits and other audience-centric content; * Mentoring and providing feedback to less senior staff; * Maintaining internal partner relationships and resolving day-to-day issues; * Conducting external research for local strategic plans and on pursuits as needed; * Meeting with Business Development and Marketing team to discuss strategic initiatives; * Coordinating proposal needs with Creative Services and Technical Writers; * Communicating with team members for project and client information; * Attending internal Community Outreach meeting; * Updating external brochures with project information in InDesign; * Developing a layout for proposal in InDesign and inputting information; * Interviewing project team members for value-added information to improve proposal response; * Updating resumes and project sheets. We're Looking For: * Four to six years of prior marketing experience in the Architectural, Construction, Engineering (AEC) industry or similar capacity; * Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related discipline; * Proficiency using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite; * The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; * A team player mindset with the ability to work independently; * Excellent skills in time management, organizing, writing, proofreading and editing; * Understanding of the AEC industry and marketing fundamentals; * A willingness to learn and work above and beyond; * A collaborative mindset; * The ability to think outside the box to find solutions to problems; * Determination and dependability.
