JOB SUMMARY:

The Tax Accountant is primarily responsible for the property tax compliance and payments for our store locations. You will also be responsible for research related to filing requirements and reporting requirements for new locations where business personal property tax is required. Timely and accurate filing of business personal property tax returns. Additionally, this position will assist with other indirect tax duties as assigned by your manager.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Accurate and timely completion of property tax compliance

• Proper and timely payments associated with all filings

• Research property tax compliance requirements when needed for new locations and/or to research potential cost savings opportunities

• Resolve property tax issues, both with internal and external parties

• Organize and maintain proper records for any future audits

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Required

Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Indirect Tax functions

Years of Job-Related Experience Required: Minimum 3-5 years of relatable experience

Technical/Other Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of Tax Accounting

• Familiar with Property Tax return compliance

• Strong analytical and communication skills
