We are looking for a Property Risk Engineer with expertise in sprinkler systems, ideally based in Paris la Défense.

Your Team

Our Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) team is made up of experienced engineers from a wide range of technical and scientific disciplines. The team provides a flexible range of risk consulting services, from natural hazards, fire safety, and human and organizational risk factors to in-depth analysis of industry operations, and financial exposures, across all industry sectors and risks. We also focus on delivering bespoke training plans to help optimize risk management procedures in the long term.

We are able to call on many years of specific business risk experience - creating tailor-made risk management services to respond to unique challenges.

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Regional head of Allianz Risk Consulting, as a Property Engineer you will conduct surveys to support business and customer needs, assess and summarize an account's operations, exposures, control adequacy and indicate any improvements needed. In addition, you provide loss control expertise to customers and business partners, and generally offer a high-level service to your accounts providing value-added expertise at every touchpoint.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include

• Working collaboratively in a team of underwriters, loss control, claims and other business partners

• Establishing and maintaining commercial relations to persuade customers to choose Allianz Commercial and to embrace our improvement solutions

• Delivering concise, high quality, objective views of risk in a timely manner. This includes accurate loss expectancies, assessments of account exposures, control adequacy, risk grading, and appropriate recommendations and/or service plans

• Developing technically based risk management recommendations. Providing insights, analysis, and best engineering judgement to determine likelihood of impact to loss mitigation and working with client, broker and underwriting to improve overall account risk quality

• Application of NFPA/FM and related safety guidelines, codes, and local standards

What You'll Bring to the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to play an integral role in building out our capability and shaping the future. We'd like to find someone with a minimum of 2 years' proven track record in engineering/loss control in a commercial insurance environment.

• You display technical expertise in Property exposure identification and control adequacy, and have significant experience with sprinkler systems

• Preferably a bachelor's degree in Science, Safety, Fire Protection, Engineering, or other suitable technical discipline

• Excellent communication skills and business acumen including written, verbal, sales, and presentation skills, in native-level French. High proficiency in business English is desired

• Knowledge of multiple lines of business insurance coverages and underwriting processes

• The attitude of a true team-player

• The motivation for life-long learning, particularly working with data
