About the role
The purpose of the Property Project Manager is to play a critical role in leading highly visible ground-up & retrofit construction projects. The ideal candidate will have proven abilities in the management of construction projects related to retail, corporate, healthcare, industrial, or life sciences industries. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish and English is a requirement for this position.
What you'll do
Lead all facets of project and program management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) and the development of construction budgets and capital expenses for managed properties in collaboration with property management teams.
Conduct periodic site visits to lead all aspects of the progress of construction and monitor the status of work completed during the delivery schedule. Includes periodic inspections at managed properties and prepares reports.
Recommends alterations, maintenance, and reconditioning as vital. Contracts for and supervises vendor services.
Harness CBRE standards to complex real estate documents related to agreements, contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings.
Support infrastructure construction and renovation projects and ensure detailed staff understands and implements safety requirements, operations, policies, and procedures.
Establish work schedules for awarded contractors and vendors and cross-train property management staff. Mentor and coach property management staff as needed.
Steward account-specific Key Performance Indicators and promote overall program improvements. Performs training and ongoing mentoring for junior-level staff and property management partners.
Build strong relationships with clients to ensure projects are being delivered against established expectations and to explore opportunities for program improvements.
Apply knowledge of own subject area and how own field integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Identify project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification processes; conduct standard requests for proposals; complete bid analysis; recommend resources to clients.
Implement communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources briefed.
What you'll need
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/Bang/BArch) preferred or 3-5 years of construction project management experience in lieu of a degree may be acceptable.
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing construction projects related to manufacturing, industrial, retail, life science, or healthcare facilities.
Prior experience with reading and understanding architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil drawings.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
Must be fluent and proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish.
