Our Properties Management (PM) team ensures reliable store functionality through preventive maintenance, repair and replacement work on assets, equipment and building. You deliver great-looking stores every day by performing a variety of skilled duties in one or more of the building trades, such as plumbing, painting, or other recognized skills for the purpose of maintaining and repairing the building.

*Must be 18 years of age or older.

High School degree or equivalent.

Able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. nights, weekends and holidays). Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members. Able to respond to emergency/Alert One situations.

POSITION OBJECTIVES: Responsible for supporting the building and testing of New Products, Continuous Improvement projects, Special Instructions POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES * Assembly and testing of new products * Communicating with the engineering department and project managers on prototype issues * Assist in the training of production personnel to insure a smooth transition of a product from the prototype stage to production * Support the development and building of necessary tools, and fixtures to support manufacturing assembly and FRP * Testing of prototype boats, documenting findings, providing recommendations from findings * Must have the ability to read blue prints, provide necessary redlines and insure BOM accuracies * Knowledge, skills and hands on ability in a wide variety of assembly related installations * Experience in rigging and installing outboard engines, programming, calibration and troubleshooting * Must interface well with other employees, departments throughout Boston Whaler, Brunswick organization, outside vendors, dealers, and retail customers * Self-starter, high energy individual who can work effectively with limited supervision * Must be committed to quality standards acceptable by Boston Whaler and customer base * Insure work area supports departmental 6S standards, is maintained clean, orderly and safe * Know and enforce company policies and procedures * Must be willing to work overtime as required to assure timely completion of critical projects * Must be willing to travel if necessary EXPERIENCE/SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS * Minimum of 3-5 years Marine Industry and or Boston Whaler boat building experience preferred * Experience troubleshooting and repairing Boston Whaler assembly problems * Experience with PC based software (word, excel, data acquisition, OBMS) * Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making abilities * Boating and mechanical background to properly execute duties EDUCATION/TRAINING * Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent * Knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures * Additional technical training in Mechanical / Electrical fields preferred * Fiberglass evaluation and repair abilities to industry and Boston Whaler standards preferred * NMMA, ABYC compliance certification training preferred * US Coast Guard safe boating course * Boat handling experience preferred While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals.
