The Opportunity
WSDOT is eager to hire a real estate professional looking to advance their career into a leadership role and serve as our next Property Management Supervisor in support of Northwest Region (NWR) Real Estate Services (RES) Property Management program. The primary focus for this position is oversight, training, and technical assistance of all property management work for the NWR, assuring that the Property Management work is completed efficiently and accurately. These functions are highly technical and are required and regulated by Federal and State rules. As the Property Management Supervisor, this position will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for functions of Property Management and responsible for compliance to ensure the transactions meet federal and state laws/regulations. The successful candidate appointed to this unique position will serve a vital role in support of WSDOT's mission to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation options to improve communities and economic vitality.
What to Expect
Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the Property Management Supervisor will:
Plan, organize, and coordinate the information and documentation flow between multiple departments and divisions, outside consultants, and other stakeholders concerning WSDOT owned property and property transactions concerning WSDOT.
Coordinate and attend meetings with various internal and external stakeholders, provide technical guidance to WSDOT staff and outside consultants and other stakeholders, and advise during the development of complicated and complex agreements.
Oversee the facilitation of agreements to ensure the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 are met and the rules, regulations, and policies of WSDOT are upheld.
Develop, prepare, coordinate, and oversee the executions of the property agreements between WSDOT and public and private entities.
Assign work and monitor staff completion of property leases, appraisals, encroachments, property demolition, permits, easements, and transfers and review the work assigned.

Demonstrated experience in the acquisition, surplus, or lease of publicly owned property.

The salary listed includes the legislative approved 5% salary premium for positions in King County. In addition, the approved 2.5% assignment pay is included.
In addition to base salary, employees may be entitled to other forms of compensation depending on the type, duties, or location of the position. For union-represented positions, more information on other forms of compensation can be found in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements. Information on other compensation types for non-represented positions can be found in Chapter 357-28 of the Washington Administrative Code.
