Position Overview:

Responsible for all Center property, equipment, and the warehouse.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Establishes inventory control systems: Responsible for following all policies and procedures of Department of Labor (DOL), Center guidelines and Alutiiq Corporate.

  • Completes random equipment and expendable and non-expendable furniture inventories to ensure property is accounted for and maintained properly.

  • Ensures quarterly inventories on conducted and submitted in a timely manner.

  • Tags all government property and equipment with serial numbers and item codes for identification. Maintains files of all property on Center that is not government property and ensures proper tagging of said property

  • Evaluates and prepares monthly reports regarding new acquisitions of property and equipment.

  • Provides quarterly training to all staff designated as property custodians in the correct implementation of property procedures.

  • Ensures warehouse is properly stocked to provide supplies to both students and staff.

  • Manages all department staff to ensure effective operation.

  • Reports all missing and stolen property in accordance with DOL, Center and Corporate guidelines.

  • Reports excessive property no longer needed in accordance with DOL, Center and Corporate guidelines.

  • Responsible for verifying the receipt of all services on and off center in accordance with Alutiiq Corporate guidelines.

  • Responsible for verifying all service requested have a complete and approved Purchase Requisition (PR) prior to receiving services.

  • Responsible for ensuring Service of Completion Notices for services rendered on Center are received and accurate.

  • Ensure staff members have adequate training to complete key areas of responsibilities. Cross-trains department employees. Ensures that departmental staff completes all DOL, Corporate and Center training as required and demonstrates competencies accordingly.

  • Develops Others: delegates tasks or responsibilities for the purpose of developing others' abilities, reassures and encourages performance improvement, provides timely coaching.

  • Develops and implements Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for CPP department.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedules staff meetings at regular intervals, ensures meeting minutes are accurate.

  • Participates in CMT, ensures that all staff participate in CMT.

  • Provide support to the Career Development Services System Department to aid in the overall attempt to ensure student job readiness.

  • Ensures equipment assigned to the department is properly accounted for and maintained in good condition. Notifies the Center Director of repairs/costs above routine expenditures.

  • Monitors budget for the CPP department and maintains spending limits as applicable. Tracks spending of staff each month.

  • Periodically audits staff time sheets to ensure compliance with corporate time keeping policy.

  • Ensures accuracy and timely submission of all employee timesheets so as to remain in compliance with company policy.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience of education and experience.

  • 2 or more years of property inventory experience.

  • Valid state driver's license.

  • CPR certification.

  • Sound communication skills; to include verbal, non-verbal and written.

  • Ability to make sound decisions and utilize good judgment at all times.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
