Claims is looking for its newest Property Claims Advocacy Professional. Office locations to ensure team partnership and connectivity to the business: Florida or Atlanta Region; however will consider an East Coast location.

Our Property Claims Advocates support clients in a unique capacity while remaining focused on carrier/TPA limitations and concerns. Marsh is proud to partner with our clients to develop solutions to meet current needs but also develop and implement strategic solutions to meet risk management needs and reduce the total cost of risk.

What can you expect?

  • Provide coverage and claims strategy advice to clients. Facilitate claims process for clients to ensure progress from notification through to closure.

  • Monitor insurer response and engage with insurers and their professional advisers to support smooth review of claims for clients.

  • Interact with brokerage team members, claims advocacy colleagues and claims operations colleagues to provide support to ensure a smooth claim process.

  • Draft communication documents for clients, such as correspondence letters, claims calculations and reviews documents prepared by the clients to support the claims process.

  • Provide claims related data such as loss statistics, key trends, cost reduction opportunities and other data in order to assist in the development of action plans to manage client's total cost of risk.

What you need to have:

  • At least 5 to 10 years in an insurance industry working preferably in a property technical claims capacity for a brokerage firm or as a claim professional with an insurance company or third party administrator.

  • Involved in moderate to complex property loss claims.

  • Knowledge of other commercial claims lines of business - additional claims experience is a plus

  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Risk Management Information Systems.

  • Currently adjusting medium to larger commercial losses including business interruption (time element), supervising or acting in broker role, overseeing property claims

  • Confidence to direct stakeholders towards a solution to current claim challenges, and ability to engage stakeholders in proactive planning of risk mitigation.

  • Intermediate to advance level knowledge of reporting tools - use of analytics to drive the conversation

  • Proven ability to overcome challenges, and expand business relationships

Work from home during Covid-19 is ok. Must be local to Jacksonville FL and St Augustine metro region.</p><p><strong>Most of our properties are in Jacksonville, Jax Beach and St. Augustine - and you will be spending most of your time visiting properties, assisting guests - fixing issues - so having a reliable car and willingness to drive around is essential.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>People with backgrounds in vacation rentals, short term rentals, customer service, management and hospitality are encouraged to apply. We are looking for candidates who feel comfortable wearing many hats and have a good sense of organization and time prioritization. If you are detail oriented, friendly and professional on the phone we would like to meet you!</p><p>If you don't mind occasionally solving problems, can think on your feet and like challenges, then please tell us more about yourself. Ideal candidates will have experience dealing with short term furnished rental tenants/ guests (Airbnb, booking.com, Homeaway, VRBO and Expedia etc) and would have vacation rental / property management experience.</p><p>Responsibilities will include - but may not be limited to:</p><p><strong>Big Picture Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>manage and improve operational practices</li> <li>act as the buffer between the management team in California and all City Managers ( we currently are in 4 states, and growing)</li> <li>find areas for improvement on operational processes</li> <li>track and forecast operational trends and analysis</li> <li>provide daily operations oversight for Jacksonville, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, Phoenix and Philippines based team members.</li> <li>draft and improve SOPs and procedures - and look for areas of improvement by revising or implementing new policies</li> <li>work with the Finance Team to meet or exceed pre set budgetary requirements.</li> </ul><p><strong>Day To Day Tasks May Include the Following</strong></p><ul> <li>Overseeing the housekeeping and maintenance teams ( W2 and contractors)</li> <li>Light maintenance ( installing cameras, modems, smart home hubs, deadbolt locks, replacing AC filters etc)</li> <li>Coordinating and handling on-boarding of new units</li> <li>Staying on top of all operational issues ( damages, damage claims with Airbnb and other channels)</li> <li>Making sure reviews on various platforms are responded to, and action is taken based on guest feedback.</li> <li>Making sure maintenance tickets are closed in a timely manner</li> <li>Onboard new properties - and creating house manuals / guest guides ( documenting how to operate the nest thermostat, how the door is unlocked, where the parking spots are, where the fuse box is, how to operate the SmartTV etc.)</li> <li>Coordinating between multiple teams - individuals to onboard properties that are acquired to be managed by StayGia. ( Schedule photo-shoots, get missing items, create listings on our software package etc)</li> <li>Being the eyes and ears of the the remote reservations agents and and answering their escalated questions.</li> <li>Handle relationships with existing clients( homeowners) and act as a go to person- dispatcher for clients.</li> <li>Generate monthly reports for ownership and make sure that clients are happy with our services.</li> <li>Handling other various administrative tasks</li> </ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Must have at least two years of real estate or hospitality experience</li> <li>Must be able to wear multiple hats and work in a small team environment ( we are not a Fortune 500 - and we are looking for someone who is willing to adapt to the needs of the business)</li> <li>Must be tech savvy - using Asana,Slack, Google Suite, Excel, Salesforce etc. shouldn't be a problem for you.</li> <li>Must have a reliable vehicle and active drivers license to drive around if needed to run business tasks.</li> <li>Should not have a clock-in clock-out mentality.</li> <li>Have a passion to make other people happy.</li> <li>Must have attention to detail.</li> <li>Must have a reliable transportation vehicle (car, motorcycle etc) to travel between properties when needed.</li> </ul><p>If you think we are talking about you, we would love to talk to you :)</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Work from home, be a part of a growing short term rental company, health insurance, equity options, vacation days.</p> Stay Gia Jacksonville FL
