Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) is seeking a candidate for a Property/Asset Control Support level 2 position located in Redondo Beach, California.

In this role, the successful candidate will be part of an organization focused on planning, acquiring and managing property, parts, materials, and assets for Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) engineering development and test activities. More specifically, the candidate will support programs needing acquisition of general purpose test equipment. The role is focused on process discipline, compliance to Northrop Grumman Command Media and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Process improvements as well as delivering superior customer service to support our customer base is an ongoing focus.

Responsibilities will include gathering quotes from suppliers as well as placing orders in Engineering Property System (EPS) or E-Catalog to acquire replacement parts for test equipment. Accurately reconciling corporate credit card statements each month is a requirement of the position, as well as documenting notes in a database to reflect current order status.

Essential Functions:

  • Utilize a corporate credit card to process orders for replacement parts of General Purpose Test Equipment and using E-Catalog or Corporate Purchasing Card

  • Reconcile monthly credit card statements

  • Support and maintain monthly metrics, participate in teams such as Community of Practice, and Process Working Groups

  • Maintain relationships with Suppliers for quoting of equipment and Original Equipment Manufacturers for quoting of General Purpose Test Equipment

  • Follow up on orders placed, approve payment, and maintain records of material movement throughout the replacement parts process.

  • Coordinate and follow up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related procurement or financial planning experience

  • Familiarity with procurement-focused relational database systems

  • Experience in requesting and organizing supplier quotes for equipment or services

  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP and iBuy or other procurement-focused relational database system

  • Experience in procurement of non-flight hardware and equipment

  • Knowledge of and experience with General Purpose Test Equipment

  • Experience with reconciliation of credit card transactions

  • Strong leadership qualities, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Northrop Grumman Corporation's Test Equipment Asset Management Metrology System (TEAMMS)

The manager must possess excellent leadership, interpersonal communication, and technical understanding of Linux, virtual machine, cloud and Windows technologies. You will work in a dynamic team environment, ensuring processes are defined and followed, delivery of quality products and technical advancements are researched and evaluated for implementation. The candidate must have the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction and mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities include: * Supervise a team of about 10 System Engineers and Administrators, developing, designing and managing virtual and cloud environments * Responsible for the performance of Windows and Linux System Engineers performing product identification, procurements, system builds, system administration, and maintaining equipment through its life cycle * Directing team members to perform tasks for multiple classified and unclassified programs, setting priorities, ensuring schedules and budgets are understood and met * Coordination and interfacing with vendors, IPTs, internal and external customers, CAMs, other SPMs, and program management Basic Qualifications: * 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD * Experience leading a team of engineers in development deliverables and processes * Excellent leadership and interpersonal communications skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management * Previous experience with Virtual and Cloud computing * Previous experience with Linux Systems Administration and VMware * Experience working in a IT service organization * Active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access or active SCI access Preferred Qualifications: * Degree(s) in STEM discipline(s) * Security or similar security certification * Previous experience with Windows Systems Administration * Five or more years of previous management experience as a Deputy SPM or Technical Lead * Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills * Experience in operational environments * Linux, VMware or other certification * Demonstrated Power Point chart development and briefing experience * Successful building technical and engaged teams * Previously adjudicated polygraph Northrop Grumman Redondo Beach CA
