Property Accountant - Hybrid Position

We are growing! Our commercial real estate company in West Palm Beach is seeking a Property Accountant. This is a hybrid position with two days in the office. The candidate will join our growing accounting team, working in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. The candidate will be responsible for all day-to-day property accounting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. The candidate will also assist the accounting team with other accounting tasks as needed. This opportunity is a hybrid remote work position.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, pull where needed, review, and process/code invoices from vendors, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Process Mail
• Bank Reconciliations
• Lease Administration
• Track monthly invoices to ensure all invoices have been received and processed.
• Assist with check runs.
• Setup up vendors in Yardi (Breeze/Voyager) and Avid.
• Keep updated W9, insurance, and license records in accounts payable files.
• Respond to all vendor questions about invoices and payments and resolve any invoice discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly sales tax and all 1099's that are required annually.
• Process and record accounts receivables and incoming payments accurately in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects as required.

Requirements

AS degree in Accounting; 2+ years of post-graduate business property accounting experience, demonstrating extensive experience in property accounting; Positive team player with strong people skills; Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities; High degree of accuracy and attention to detail; Self-starter; must have ability to work independently with minimum supervision; Strong proficiency in MS Office - with advanced skill level in Excel Must be proficient in Yardi, Avid, MRI knowledge a plus; Excellent written and oral communication skills.
