POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting in planning, implementation and execution of all on-property promotions. Strong emphasis on finance and budgeting responsibilities.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS: 21 years of age

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Assist in planning, implementing and executing promotional programs by working with Marketing Manager to plan, pull together details, and participate in big day activities and winner selection.
2.Develop and maintains policies, procedures and standards relating to promotion management including financial reporting and budget maintenance.
3.Effectively execute drawings and work all promotional "big days".
4.Coordinate with manager to deliver and distribute all promotion related materials through

Submitting requests for database queries and creative materials, and working with those departments to "fine tune" such requests.
5.Effectively communicate all details of promotions to other departments and employees.
6.Manage costs incurred by Promotions and re-conciliate monthly costs to budget through Marketing Program spreadsheet.
7.Assist Marketing Manager in preparation of monthly report on promotion programs by accumulating programs costs, inputting Marketing Program spreadsheet changes and detailing profit and loss statements.
8.Perform analysis on promotion performance for review by Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing's evaluation and future plans.
9.Takes a proactive role in developing strategic use of existing information processes, as well as evaluating potential uses of new processes.
10. Proven ability to work with management on strategic development issues.
11. Contact with IGB office on all giveaway forms submitted for approval.
12. Responsible for creating, maintaining and finalizing all property giveaway forms/files, while in contact with Chicago/MET IGB regulators.
13. Must work with APS to set up system requirements and details for promotions.
14. Must have excellent customer service skills front-of-house and back-of-house, by communicating in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.

This position is not limited to the duties listed in this job description. Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced, or eliminated by manager and senior management to meet the business needs of the Marketing Department and Harrah's Metropolis Casino.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

PHYSICAL-Must be able to:
1.Be mobile to move reasonably quickly throughout the casino, up and down stairs frequently.
2.Stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.
3.Operate a computer with manual dexterity and with reasonable accommodations.
4.See to operate a computer screen to verify customer bonus point/comp accounts, read written instructions, memoranda, job description, etc..
5.Tolerate noisy, smoky, stressful environment.
6.Lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
7.Hear well enough to respond to P.A. system, radio, etc. Can be augmented with a hearing aid.
8.Use telephone and radio to communicate during entire shift as needed.
9.Climb stairs repeatedly.

MENTAL- Must be able to:
1.Must be able to read, write and speak.
2.Understand and comply with all policies and procedures, job description, daily memorandums, and other instructions.
3.Must be able to understand and communicate, verbally and written with management, staff and guests.
4.Must be able to work under stressful conditions.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs duties as assigned, always presenting oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encouraging others to do the same.

PREREQUISITES/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 Years Promotions/Events preferred; must possess excellent skills in project and people management, communication and writing. Literate and fluent. Must possess financial reporting & budget maintenance skills. Professional written and verbal presentation skills necessary. Knowledge of multiple systems that support business objectives from a property perspective helpful, specifically: WINet, CMS, and Events Management Systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, including Excel, Word and Access, required.

GAMING:

Must have the ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming Board.
