Promotions & Reporting Specialist Job Description
The ideal Promotions and Reporting Specialist is a detail-oriented, assertive go-getter who likes a fast-paced environment, sees challenges as opportunities, and is a team player who enjoys working independently. This stothat include, but are not limited to, executing promotional strategies for Merchandising, including the creation and maintenance of countdown calendars, analyzing Merchant forecasts, managing seasonal product programs (End Caps/Floor Stacks/Clip Strips/etc), acting as liaison to the Creative team, and managing the RICON promotional tool.
Responsibilities:
Document, communicate, and manage execution of promotional strategies from item selection through post game analysis and including ad in-stock call outs.
Develop, maintain, and execute marketing strategies for Merchandising, including the creation and maintenance of production schedules for print and digital promotions, scheduling and facilitating promotional review meetings, and driving on-time delivery.
Consolidate and analyze merchant forecasts to provide comprehensive reporting and analysis.
Develop and produce analysis and performance reporting for merchants and senior management.
Partner with Creative to ensure success from initial pagination through multiple proofing cycles and final "scrub".
Administer the End Cap and Floor Stack program from setting team submission deadlines all the way through the VisMerch Store directive
Oversee the Merchandising side of RICON, including customization, training, and development of additional uses.
Manage the Rebate program, including processing buying team submissions, ensuring ad placement, working with the rebate house, and resolving customer service issues.
Provide analysis for optimizing pricing including reviewing customer feedback, reviewing competitive pricing, recommending retail, wholesale, and promotional pricing, assisting with special programs, and communicating strategically with Merchant teams.
Seek out and implement process improvements.
Assist with ensuring all Price Management responsibilities are executed.
Assist with other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in business or related field with minimum two years' experience in a Merchandising environment or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Excellent project management skills and outstanding analytical, organizational, and planning abilities
Familiarity with MS Office products, particularly Excel, and strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to gather, interpret, present, and use information to drive positive outcomes
Ability to develop, recommend, and implement solutions
