Promotions Coordinator

The Promotions Coordinator assists the Promotions Leadership in preparation and execution of station promotions, contesting and events. This includes the ability to build relationships, motivate, and schedule a part-time promotions staff of 20 to 25 people while adhering to hours regulations over the course of the year, which could up to 300 events.

Help in the development of plans and strategy for the promotions and marketing department for our cluster of brands, including, but not limited to New Country 96.3 (KSCS-FM) and 99.5 The Wolf (KPLX-FM), Sportsradio 96.7 and 1310 The Ticket (KTCK), Newstalk 820 (WBAP) and AM 570 News and Information (KLIF). The ability to handle multiple projects while working across multiple departments (Digital, Sales, Programming, Etc).

The Promotions Coordinator handles all prize fulfillment, event preparation, contest building, backend website creation, social media, contesting scheduling, brainstorming new ideas, and other promotion-oriented tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Promotions Director in planning, organizing & execution of promotional events and campaigns.

• Manage and schedule part-time promotions team alongside Talk Stations Coordinator.

• Work directly with Sales on booking Sales Related Events, Appearances, Live Broadcasts, etc.

• Knowledge of how to execute proper technical and physical set-up and breakdown of remote broadcasts and station events; ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on the fly.

• Contesting, ability to write contest rules and input scheduled contests into vPromotions.

• Knowledge of the following digital assets; Wordpress, SoCast, Frankly Media, Acoustic is helpful, as the Promotions Coordinator will update station websites, contest pages, event pages and more.

• Strong working knowledge of social media platforms, with the ability to create posts and content as part of planned organized activities and contesting.

• Knowledge of Text Contesting Platforms, specifically Text Groove.

• Inventory and maintenance of prize closet, calendars, events for current and upcoming promotions.

• Represent stations at events in an upbeat, outgoing, and friendly manner.

• Prize fulfillment to winners, including communicating with winners regarding prizes.

• Assisting the Promotions and Marketing Department with projects as needed in the office

• Ability to drive station vehicles.

• Maintain and storage of station equipment, including an off-site storage facility.

• Uphold a strict level of confidentiality at all times

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of radio experience & event planning preferred.

• Must be 21 years of age or older, college education preferred.

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Reliable; have a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• May require lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

• Outgoing, energetic, detail-oriented, and responsible.

• Proficient using computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordPress & more.

• Multi-tasking abilities.

• Event experience and planning preferred.

• Strong Social Media skills with sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch and LinkdIn.

Ability to learn new platforms (understanding of Microsoft 365 and vCreative is a plus)
