Promotion Producer WFSB-P25613
WFSB, a TV station owned and operated by the Meredith Corporation is looking for a Promotion Producer to join our team!
The Promotion Producer handles topicals, image promos and a wide variety of marketing initiatives on all platforms TV, web, mobile, and social. This individual must have a strong grasp of both content and emotional marketing.
The role requires writing, daily editing, log work, media placement, as well as collaboration with sales, digital and news teams. Must be proficient in non-linear editing, with experience in Avid and Aftereffects preferred. Photography prowess is a plus.
Should have experience in a fast-paced, daily-deadline marketing environment, with news promotion experience strongly preferred. Must be willing to work long or unusual hours as broadcast needs require.
Job responsibilities will include:
Essential Job Functions:
60% - Produces, writes, edits and logs topical and image promos
20% - Develops and executes marketing plans for contests and other platforms
10% - Participates in station marketing efforts, including special events and initiatives
10% - Other special projects as assigned by management
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
College degree required.
Minimum one year experience in broadcast promotion environment, with experience in daily news operation strongly preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong writing skills.
Strong non-linear editing skills.
Understanding of basic marketing principles.
Understanding of broadcast operations, including production techniques and log traffic.
Extremely strong organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal collaboration and communication skills.
