Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Project Engineer 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Project Engineer is to provide engineering leadership, analysis, and execution support for the development of innovative systems. Focus is on change and technical integration of complex issues as well as how our solutions affect our program costs and schedules.

Essential Functions:

  • Change integration and management

  • Technical and program review boards leadership

  • Cross IPT technical integration

  • Supporting chief engineers in defect analysis and path forwards

  • Integrated function capabilities

  • Proposal development

  • Management of engineering change proposals

  • Execution and management of change requests.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of engineering experience OR

  • Master's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of experience in one or more of the following specialized skills: project engineering, software engineering (IFC), aerospace engineering, system engineering, system integration

  • An active DoD Secret clearance with an investigation in the past 5 years

  • The ability to obtain program access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) field

  • Engineering experience in one or more of the following specialized skills: project engineering, software engineering (IFC), aerospace engineering, system engineering, system integration

  • Knowledge of proposal development, change integration, program management, systems engineering processes

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

  • Active, In scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance with an investigation in the past 5 years

  • Active Special Program access

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer, 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This offsite position will be located in the Western United States region. Supplier Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for supply base technical management related to the acquisition of our Program hardware needs. This highly visible position requires a motivated self-starter with a manufacturing background in military aircraft composite or metallic part fabrication and subassembly experience. The candidate will be involved with resolving supplier production questions and concerns, tooling and manufacturing process topics, and thrive in a remote environment where they are the technical representative for Northrop Grumman at those facilities. The candidate will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, have the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with varying levels of NGC and Supplier employees and leadership. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Provide a technical interface between Program IPT's and Suppliers. Provide Subject Matter Expertise to resolve supplier technical questions and manufacturing process issues related to production and tooling topics. Ensure producibility and affordability feedback to NGC Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams. Support/perform technical evaluations (assess needs and costs) of supplier's proposals and tooling for Buyers. Support/manage work transfers to and standup of suppliers on production processes. Perform or manage onsite Supplier capability/capacity assessments and Production Readiness Reviews. meleng Basic Qualifications: * Bachelors of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree, with 9 years of experience in an aerospace or military aviation Manufacturing Engineering role * Demonstrated experience to formulate and execute technical solutions to part, assembly and tooling challenges * Demonstrated Project Management experience * Demonstrated experience using SAP, Windows software packages and other electronic databases * Have an Active DoD Secret Clearance that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years * Have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) clearance Preferred Qualifications: * Prior Supplier Technical Management experience with manufacturing of military hardware * Experience with Siemens NX tools and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) * Knowledge of military requirements/standards and wire harness processes including fiber optics * Knowledge of FAR & DFAR requirements * Active DoD Top Secret with an up to date SSBI or SAP/SAR access clearance Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
