Job Description:

You will join a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. The position will be based in Palm Bay, FL to start, followed by a field assignment located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) supporting the program's 30 month assignment.

In this position, you will build on your engineering background and team leadership experience to take on a project engineering role for a C4I program. You will be responsible for project engineering leadership from design through delivery for a team developing cutting edge systems to enhance the capabilities of warfighters for the U.S.A. and its allies. Tasking includes but is not limited to:

  • Perform/manage all cost and scheduling efforts

  • Provide program status and budget; manage schedules and prepare status reports for customers and senior management

  • Build and track program performance against the integrated master schedule

  • Identifies program risk, issues, and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or driving changes to the contractual specifications

  • Direct the work of personnel assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline

  • 10+ years of design engineering and technical lead experience (or 8+ years including a MS/MA/MBA)

  • Experience in product life cycle management from design to product launch; including building and leading the project team

  • Experience leading a multi-disciplined engineering team; Ability to implement and/or adapt project execution plans and manage resources from multiple development groups

  • Experience managing projects with budgets of $10M+

  • Strong and proven experience in change management

  • Proven experience in Earned Value Management (EVMS)

  • Proven experience in risk management

Additional preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing plans to achieve technical, cost, and schedule requirements

  • Strong subcontract management skills

  • Strong written/verbal communication and negotiation skills to work with internal and external resources

  • Ability to present to internal and external customers at all levels

  • Strong personal leadership, influence, and motivational skills

  • Experience with C4I technology products or other government/DoD contracts

  • Experience with best practices for cost account management and EVMS

  • MS in Engineering Management or other related field is preferred

  • PMP Certification or equivalent desirable.

  • Familiarization with domestic and foreign military naval vessels is a plus
