Project Support Technician - IT (Non-Union)

SUMMARY/PURPOSE

To assist the IT Division with computer replacement.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

For both one-of-a-kind and repetitive tasks, the supervisor makes specific assignments that are accompanied by clear, detailed, and specific instructions. Incumbents work as instructed and consult with the supervisor.

SUPERVISION GIVEN

Does not supervise.

1.       Assist in installing computer base image, applications, and files.

2.       Test new computer equipment prior to deployment.

3.       Deploy computers to the user population per project schedule.

4.       Prepare replacement equipment for disposal.

5.       Prepare written materials including memos, agendas, reports, etc.

6.       Monitor and maintain project schedules.

7.       Create and/or maintain database files.

8.       Be an effective team member by exhibiting self-motivation, supporting other employees in handling tasks, interacting effectively and respectfully with others, showing a desire to contribute to the team effort, accepting assignments willingly, and completing tasks within agreed upon timelines.

9.      Other duties may be assigned.

Age Requirements

A.            Must be 18 or older by date of hire.

License Requirements

A.            Possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D driver's license or privilege.

Education & Experience Requirements

A.            A minimum of one (1) year of related education and/or of full-time, verifiable experience to include the installation, support, and troubleshooting of personal computers, networks, and peripheral equipment as a primary responsibility is preferred.
