Job Description:

NAVOI is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist performs a wide variety of tasks with respect to computer hardware, software, networks and user support.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports, maintains and utilizes various company and customer computer resources, including PCs, servers, LANs, WANs and internet-based systems and applications on a 24/7 basis.

  • Assists computer resource users in accessing computer systems and in resolving user problems with those systems and applications.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • In-depth working experience of Windows 7 and Windows 10 including: application installation, Active Directory and Organization Units

  • Effective customer service skills, including oral and technical written communications

  • Must be able to assist in development of solutions, and appropriate documentation, to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity

  • Familiarity with Antivirus software and security settings

  • Able to describe PC architecture and operation

  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, routers, and their basic operation Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds

  • Shift work (nights and weekends) required

  • Experience supporting DHS, Federal Civil, Intelligence and/or DoD information technology Users and Customers at the desktop level

  • Ability to assist others in solving problems and working with them to implement the solution Experience using trouble ticketing and tracking systems

  • Respond to user requests via Telephone, Email, and/or Altiris ticketing system

  • Install, configure, deploy, and upgrade computer hardware and software.

  • Apply diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and commend solutions.

  • Interact with other technical teams, software systems engineering, and /or applications development teams to restore service and/or identify and correct problems.

  • Identify and reserve Computers being assigned to the network through DHCP.

  • Imaging of Computers and configuring of desktop BIOS.

Desired Experience and

Knowledge:
  • Familiar with Desktop image development, deployment, and maintenance

  • Experience with license managers in Windows environments

  • Experience with Desktop Operating System Patching and other Vulnerability mitigation Proven ability to work with general supervision and follow established procedures

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: ACLs, ISVM, ICVA, STIGS, etc.

Desired Certification(s):

  • DoD 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level I

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related degree.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience.

VIEW JOBS 8/24/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-22T00:00 Overview The purpose of this job is to support the Risk Services unit's mission by providing administrative support for the delivery of agency risk services, primarily the AcuComp, ModMaster and Risk Management Center resource platforms. Responsibilities * With guidance and direction from the Risk Services Specialist and/or Risk Services Coordinator, facilitate and administer the AcuComp workflow within the agency. This includes but is not limited to gathering and distributing the required enrollment documentation, obtaining and distributing loss runs, mod worksheets, audit materials and claim status reports, and producing ModMaster verification reports as required. * With guidance and direction from the Risk Services Specialist and/or Risk Services Coordinator, produce requested ModMaster verification and/or projection reports outside of the standard AcuComp workflow. * With guidance and direction from the Risk Services Specialist and/or Risk Services Coordinator, complete data entry and other necessary tasks for client setup and implementation of the Risk Management Center platform. * Carry out other duties as assigned, which may include supporting and facilitating Drug Free Workplace, HR consulting or other risk services for clients. Qualifications * Basic understanding of insurance concepts required, to include analysis & comprehension of various policy forms, loss runs and associated documents * Knowledge of risk management and loss control practices within the insurance industry preferred * Understanding of and experience with insurance automated agency management software preferred * Basic knowledge of AcuComp, ModMaster, and Succeed/KPA Risk Management Center platforms preferred * Ability to work independently as a self-starter * Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word * Demonstrates a strong attention to detail * Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines * Strong written communication skills * Bachelor's degree preferred (preferably in a business-related field) or equivalent work experience in the insurance industry * Prior experience in a property & casualty insurance agency or company environment preferred Trustmark Pensacola FL
