Serves as a project support assistant to the supervisor.
Performs a variety of administrative duties and responsibilities that provide continuity and efficiency of administrative office operations and procedures.
Maintains control logs, prepares data in prescribed format, and prepares necessary forms and working files essential to team operations.
Serves as timekeeper, maintaining records of annual, sick, and other leave, and inputting data for time and attendance into automated system.
Collects data required for budget development such as labor rates, overhead rates, and program guidance.
Collects, organizes and maintains data on contract proposals, their evaluation, procurement history, progress plans and accomplishments and reports.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Utilize a variety of automated tools/systems (such as Defense Travel System (DTS) and Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS)) to retrieve or enter data for travel and timekeeping; (2) Assists technical professionals in the preparation of contract and equipment procurement actions; AND (3) Use financial tools such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) for project budget execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as administration or business related fields of study.
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
