We are currently seeking a experienced Project Supervisors in environmental services to join our growing team!
Responsible for the coordination and supervision of planned Environmental, Construction and Hazard Waste projects within the region, including health & safety, reporting, planning, operations, and some sales and marketing with limited profit and loss accountability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Start to finish initiation and closing of project opportunities.
Working knowledge of all environmental services and budget expectations.
Optimize strict compliance with corporate policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state and federal regulations.
Assist in the preparation of project estimates, bids and proposals as well as review. Coordinate approval of subordinate staff members.
Responsible for timely execution of company correspondence, documentation, forms, daily work reports, cost accounting and invoicing of assigned projects within company guidelines.
Aid in marketing Response and Haz Waste services to new accounts. Contribute to managing existing account base.
Take corrective measures as directed by management in reviewing on-going performance results to targets.
Keeps Manager fully informed and reports all problems or unusual matters of significance and recommends course of action taken to address them.
Direct and supervise project assigned labor forces.
Mentor foremen and personnel in technical response techniques, subcontractor selection and procurement, project scoping, scheduling and cost, and regulatory compliance.
Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximize employee morale and productivity.
May be requested to act in other support functions to include labor, transportation of hazardous waste, and heavy equipment operation during times of non-specific project assignments.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field and/or industry (A combination of education and related experience may substitute for educational requirements).
Minimum 5 years directly related experience in the Environmental, Hazardous Waste, Remediation or Marine industry along with supervising, coaching and developing staff.
Current industry required certifications.
Computer literacy with the ability to maintain adequate business documentation, agency/client communications and identify, record, and communicate both written and verbal critical business information to superiors in an effective manner.
Ability to coordinate lab packing operations, manage hazardous waste removal operations at site and prepare containers for shipment.
Ability to meet timelines and be proficient in the completion of all project and administrative related activities.
Must be willing and able to travel and work extended hours as needed to support NRC's 24/7/365 operations.
Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search as well continued verifications throughout employment to ensure that all records meet company policy standards.
