Position Description

The Project Specialist Exteriors (PSE) is a salary plus commission in-home sales position. Maximizes sales of exterior products including sales planning, in-home and in-store customer consultations, development of project proposals, and tracking of current and potential sales.

Also trains associates on sales tactics and related programs. Also responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting customers in locating, selecting, demonstrating, and loading of merchandise in a friendly and professional manner.

Job Requirements

Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week.

Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise.

Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Licensed driver with reliable transportation and ability to pass MVR screen.
1 year experience as a Lowe's store associate OR
2 years residential construction experience (home building or renovations) and 2 years of face-to-face sales experience OR
3 years residential construction experience (home building or renovations) OR
3 years face-to-face sales experience.

If the state or local municipality requires a salesperson license for this position, you must either be licensed or pass the requisite licensing exam within sixty (60) days of starting employment in this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Licensure or certification as a Construction Supervisor.
2 years experience using Lowe's or other similar selling systems (e.g., M2O).
2 years in-home or commission-based sales experience.

This individual will direct large-scale and must-win sales opportunities, creating/writing custom content and helping to drive the proposal process from RFP receipt to deliverable date to client. This position will be based in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities: * Manage proposal development from strategy to deliverable date, working with the Sales Director and Subject Matter Experts to define and track needs and deliverables, and stay up to date on deadlines. * Review Requests for Proposals to ensure compliance * Write, edit, and hone custom content for proposals and special projects to drive sales opportunities. * Work in tandem with Creative Team designers on overall design, layout, and print concepts in conjunction with Sales Director. * Handle multiple, complex projects simultaneously, while setting and holding others responsible for deadlines. * Work in conjunction with fellow Creative Team members to develop best practices and manage and maintain an asset library. * Other projects and responsibilities as defined by management and the needs of the sales teams. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required * Strong creative/technical writing/copyediting skills required * Solid project management and organizational capabilities as well as attention to detail * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Acrobat Pro and full Microsoft Office Suite proficiency * Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills * Experience/consistent performance in deadline-oriented environment due to timelines and volume of work in heavy proposal seasons * Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop knowledge preferred but not required * Ability to travel approximately 5% Apply to Compass Group today!
