Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH is looking for a Marketing Project Specialist to join our Retention Marketing Department to manage proactive & reactive business critical customer communication tactics. These projects can be of various degrees of complexity and often include the coordination of numerous groups and/or departments. This person will be responsible for overseeing the development/execution plans for various business critical initiatives that involve informing customers. In addition, this person will be responsible for owning the relationship and execution of customer bill communications. This position is great for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, challenging work environment and is detailed oriented. This position involves multi-tasking and coordinating multiple aspects of multiple projects at the same time. The ideal candidate will have a background in operations management.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Build relationships enterprise wide, and successfully work across departments to coordinate and communicate with various groups.
Communicate project scope, goals, deliverables and timelines effectively across technical and non-technical teams at all levels of the organization.
Consistently monitor and report on the project progress/status to all stakeholders and assist in issue resolution as necessary.
Add input as necessary to ensure project success and consider the impacts on all areas of the business.
Improve existing processes and act as a champion for positive change.
Skills - Experience and Requirements
A successful Project Specialist will have the following:
Bachelor's or Master's degree from a four-year college or university; plus 3-5 years of project or Operations Management.
Be flexible and nimble, adapting well to change in a dynamic business environment and work well with deadlines.
Must be flexible to be able to work outside normal business hours (nights & weekends).
Must possess high energy to maintain a sense of urgency and enthusiasm throughout projects.
Dynamic personality and can quickly establish trust and rapport with all levels of the organization.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage large meetings.
Ability to balance attention to detail and executional excellence with strategic thinking and an understanding of the big-picture business environment.
Ideal candidate is self-motivated, curious and focused.
