Project Special Inspection Coordinator

Use your structural knowledge and organizational skills to be responsible for all aspects of special inspection for electrical and mechanical conveyance installations, assisting with proposal pipeline and active projects, tracking and filing all repots serving as liaison for installation supervisors and permit team. Position will work closely with Permit Department and installation services teams. You will be in a visible position and will require direct interaction with peers and leaders across all these groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review incoming project pipeline and for jurisdiction requirements for special inspections

  • Maintain active projects for all special inspections including electrical / mechanical (Anchors, Structural Bolting, Welding

  • Ensure all proposal / quotes are reviewed for approval and request for PO is implemented through DocuSign process

  • Assist project permitting team with special inspection issues form pre-construction visit to final inspection

  • Track and file all completed reports


  • Associates degree


  • Experience with helping obtain business 3rd party special inspections specific to jurisdiction

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access and SharePoint

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly in cross-functional collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively manage priorities

  • Improving performance, meeting commitments, and getting results

  • Exceeding internal and external customer expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 30%

  • Some experience in project management, permitting and structural testing
