This position is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and managing project scheduling systems for our $2.3B JV, design-build project to build 21 miles of interstate highway from Orange County, FL to Seminole County, FL.
The project entails 15 major interchanges, constructing more than 145 bridges, and the addition of 4 toll lanes. With traffic control, utility relocation, and highway construction, this position offers exposure to a wide variety of safety concerns.
Essential Job Accountabilities
1.Manage project scheduling system(s) and tools to ensure the needs of the project are met
2.Develop and maintain project schedule to ensure work is completed on time and under budget.
3.Manage project controls assignments to ensure work is completed on time and under budget.
4.Manage project controls activities to ensure compliance with company, construct and schedule requirements.
5.Manage potential change orders, including identification and cost or schedule analysis within scope of responsibility, issue tracking, documentation, pricing, and development of owner request documents.
6.Provide project schedule analyses, with recommended actions, for problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
7.Supervise, direct, and mentor project staff to ensure individual development and that project standards are met.
8.Provide support to project for non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling guidance, analyses, and presentations
9.Develop and maintain all job reporting and logs to ensure project compliance.
10. Assist in representing company, project and/or department during client and project management meetings to ensure effective communication.
2 years construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
2 years of progressive P6 scheduling experience, including TIA experience
Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to scheduling problems, job cost, and planning.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Advanced knowledge of Cost Engineering, Planning, and Scheduling principles, practices, and systems.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Primavera (P3/P6), and latest industry recognized programs
Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawing and specification, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline.
Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.
Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
