The Chattanooga Heart Institute offers the most comprehensive cardiac care available in this region. Founded in 1976, we now have six offices in Tennessee and one in Georgia. Our practice is made up of 29 board-certified cardiologists, three cardiothoracic surgeons and three vascular surgeons. Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Responsible for understanding all functions of scheduling and hospital scheduling in order to provide management with high level cross coverage ability and working with staff to increase quality of processes and improve productivity. Responsible for providing new hire training and continued on-the-job training to all scheduling staff. Responsible for attending and participating in staff meetings to provide ongoing training to add to the continued efficiencies and standardization of processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for training all scheduling staff to ensure understanding of all processes and efficiencies.

  • Responsible for assigned reports and projects for department.

  • Acting supervisor when supervisors on vacation or out sick.

  • Responsible for having a working understanding of all check in and check out processes.

  • Responsible for improving quality within the department.

  • Working knowledge of imaging orders and the compliance related to orders.

  • Cross cover in all areas of scheduling and at all locations.

  • Review all open tasks for scheduling within the practice management system to assist manager with resolution to improve patient access.

  • Responsible for optimizing physician schedules to improve patient access.

  • Responsible for presenting data in staff meetings to assist in ongoing training for staff.

  • Proactive participation in ensuring appropriate patient access into the practice.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 years in the discipline

Qualifications:

  • One or more years in a medical office environment.

JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for the scheduling of assigned production machines, the clear communication of the production schedule, and the procurement of materials for production runs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Negotiate paperboard pricing * Utilize ERP/MRP system to improve planning and scheduling process efficiency * Address problems that arise, aiming for minimum disruption to production * Frequently review production schedule to adjust for more accurate production time * Analyze manufacturing orders and create production schedules, using knowledge of the production process and machine capabilities * Participate in continuous improvement projects both inside and outside the department * Assist in production planning process * Lead various data tracking and gathering initiatives * Fill in as backup for Master Production Scheduler * Participate in vetting process for new suppliers EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * Minimum three years' experience in production scheduling and logistics * Understanding of supply chain and manufacturing process * Proficient in MS Office applications - Word, Outlook, Excel * Experience with ERP, MRP, or other scheduling systems software * Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field Since 1927 Southern Champion Tray (SCT) has become a leading manufacturer and distributor of stock and custom paperboard packaging products for over 1,100 customers, such as Baskin-Robbins, Albertsons, Sysco, and Dairy Queen, in 13 countries across multiple industry segments, including bakery, restaurant/food-service, consumer packaged goods, and others.
