We are seeking project schedulers to support the Office of the CIO at the Census Bureau. The Census Bureau is the government leader in data collection and statistical analysis. In addition to the Decennial (10 year) census, the Census Bureau conducts other surveys and censuses at monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, 2, 3, and 5 year increments. The Census Bureau also develops key data indicators, such as the unemployment rate, GDP, and GNP.
Monitor and advance all activities contained in the IMS and master schedules to be updated and statused weekly, and program progress will be reported to sponsors and management
Support the established Project and Program Management Policies and Procedures as well as the eSDLC and Program Life Cycle by providing all requisite programmatic documentation prescribed by the eSDLC or Program Life Cycle in accordance to the project schedule and ensure project teams adhere to the Program Life Cycle and/or eSDLC tailoring guidance
Provide advice and guidance to support the PMO in its continuous improvement efforts and maturity capability processes
Support incorporation of schedule management principles and best practices and abide by the established requirements gathering processes in all process improvement efforts
BA/BS degree is required
5+ years of scheduling experience
2+ years of Primavera scheduling experience
Experience integrating multiple schedules from different sources
High level of proficiency in Primavera
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance
Candidates should be team players and have a knowledge of project management.
