Oak Park Magnet School has one full-time (1.0 FTE), 10 month site-based Project Resource
Teacher position available.
This position will support Oak Park with implementation of the 2023 Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) federal grant, Magnifying Media Arts in San Diego Unified School District. The grant's objectives are to enhance Oak Park's IB magnet theme by building integrated Media Arts.
Examples of Duties
Duties will include implementing the 2023 Magnet Schools Assistance Program
grant. The Oak Park MSAP Resource Teacher will coordinate professional
learning specific to inquiry-based pedagogies, interdisciplinary curriculum
development; work with and support teachers and students with technology, tools
and software programs specific to the Media Arts; coordinate and support work
with grant partnerships; development and support parent and community events
and marketing; and oversee all on site grant compliance requirements.
The Oak Park MSAP Resource Teacher will work closely and communicate
clearly with the site Administration, MSAP Grant leadership and resource team,
classroom teachers, VAPA Resource Teachers, Partnerships, as well as
classified support staff.
The Oak Park MSAP Resource Teacher will travel to weekly MSAP Resource
Teacher meetings, and travel at varied points to other MSAP grant sites, and
grant related events and learning.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified applicants must have a valid Multiple Subject Credential.
Credential must be registered with the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing by the closing date of the application deadline.
A minimum of five years of experience with integrated arts, multiple subject or
interdisciplinary instructional settings, interdisciplinary inquiry-based pedagogy
and curriculum development, and knowledge of technology, tools and software
programs related to Media Arts are a plus for this position.
Ability to lead and support Professional Development and offer classroom embedded
support around innovative instructional practices, including
interdisciplinary curricular design and inquiry based learning at the TK-5 level will
be prioritized.
Ability to support teaching and learning that builds welcoming environments that
invite, honor and include all learners, families, and the community required.
Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, peers, grant partners community
members and beyond to envision, coordinate and implement grant related
teaching and learning, grant related events, and marketing and outreach
required.
Ability to document grant related work, lead data collection, assist with federally
mandated reporting deadlines and special requests, and support grant related
purchasing required.
Familiarity with the goals and operations of magnet schools and/or federal grants
is also valued. Willingness to support grant compliance requirements such as
documentation and data collection required.
