Job Summary

Is the technical source of information for the project and should have a thorough knowledge of the construction documents. Responds to questions about drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders. Maintains an effective and professional working relationship with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Establishes and maintains the Project Quality Management program by performing the SundtWay Quality Management functions based on compliance with contract documents and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Manages and implements the project quality management plan.
2.Assists with procurement of necessary material and equipment. Coordinates submittals with other trades. Reviews all submittals for compliance with the contract documents.
3.Ensures that all workinplace is in compliance with approved submittals and contract documents.
4.Schedules and conducts preparatory & pre-installation meetings in support of Sundt quality management program with suppliers, subcontractors, supervision and the owner.
5.Schedules & supervises testing agencies and maintains records to ensure testing is performed per ASTM standards.
6.Collaborates with operations to produce task specific quality management plans.
7.Performs internal quality inspections and participates with IOR inspections.
8.Ensures that rework items are being reported, tracked and corrected.
9.Verifies materials meet contract specific requirements.
10. Provides quality training to craft personnel.
11. Conducts weekly quality site walks with the owner, architect and engineer and manages the mockup approval process.
12. Maintains Asbuilt contract documents. Compiles closeout requirements, including operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and other jobspecific items required by the specifications.

Minimum Job Requirements
1.Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs
2.An advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus indepth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units, is required.
3.Fouryear construction related degree or equivalent technical training and related experience, plus a minimum of three to four years of similar construction engineering experience.
4.Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines. Should have the skill/ability to supervise and/or quality technicians.

  • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis

  • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)

  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures

Typically, employees in this function are working towards or have achieved certification in project management. This position provides subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques. Ensures projects are completed on time and in scope. Requires superior communication skills with an emphasis on presentations to management and senior leadership on project updates, expected results, and recommended next steps. Analytical skills required to analyze project outcomes and make appropriate recommendations to improve project processes/outcomes. Primary Responsibilities: * Lead or contribute to the development of program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g., program/project charter, Statement of Work) * Ensure alignment and understanding of program/project scope and objectives with the organization's strategic objectives and the Voice of the Patient and internal clients, in consultation with applicable stakeholders * Raise awareness of any misalignment or misunderstanding of project scope and objectives with applicable stakeholders * Ensure that all impacted areas are identified, and that appropriate resources are engaged to participate in the scope definition process * Ensure that project scope, requirements and approvals comply with current governance guidelines and methodology * Monitor scope requirements and identify scope-related gaps and issues * Ensure that all project dependencies/linkages are identified (e.g., inter-departmental activities, hardware, timelines, regulatory due dates * Obtain agreement on project scope from applicable stakeholders, and ensures that requirements sign-off is obtained * Ensure that all project deliverables and success criteria are identified * Manage/support project scope and objectives throughout the project lifecycle, as needed * Establish/implement/comply with change management processes to drive effective project execution * Develop project plans around identified project duration, effort, sequence, and dependencies of tasks required to meet applicable project objectives * Work with resource managers to drive the identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution * Obtain agreement from applicable stakeholders on schedule, time management and resource plans * Provide project direction and performance feedback to the team or their leadership throughout the project, as appropriate * Ensure that schedule and resource changes are aligned with project scope, objectives, constraints and risks * Ensure seamless transition from project implementation to the business * Ensure that all project deliverables are in compliance with applicable standards and regulations (e.g., data security, Joint Commission, HIPAA, NCQAA, HEDIS, federal/state regulatory requirements) * Manage/ensure proper release/deployment/functionality of the project (e.g., postimplementation testing, auditing, reporting) * Ensure controls are identified and operationalized to allow benefit tracking and reporting. j.
